Hi guys, hope no one's started a similar thread and I did search for it but only found old or less relevant topics.
What I'd like to address is the view distance of tanks. Not so much how
far they can see, but I mean the surrounding sighting. If anyone of you played Red Orchestra than you'd want to see it in FH2 as well!
I like to hunt tanks, but the tanks are just so damn flexible. For example that Cromwell functions more like an attack buggy with armour and big guns, the gun can be turned incredibly fast as well as its traction. Sometimes I wonder if this matches up with real life.
Anyway - when you watch those Wochenschau videos, e.g.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNsIKnS9msM you'll notice the advancing infantry along tanks. Now how did they manage to take out tanks at close range? It's because you can flank them, and you can do this because tanks hardly know what's going on at the side. Probably the 3rd person view shouldn't be there, with a bit more limited manouvrability tanks won't become those Rambo objects anymore as they seem now. You can still ambush them, but you're really dependant on bushes and objects which are often very far away from the tank's position. Which means you'll have to run up to the tank, but too often the tanks seem to be able to accelerate too fast, and the turret has spun twice before you reach it.
Any thoughts here? Thanks.
