Why on earth would they go through the trouble of including all those armies in an initial release?

Their presence in the war was important, obviously, but if they start wasting time by adding Romanians before the Japanese I'm going to be upset.

If the next would be late western front (likely), then it seems logical to me to complete it, by including minor parties after the major ones.

I hope for whatever front will be QUICKEST for them to come out with after Normandy. With africa and normandy done, I believe that will mean doing either late western europe or Italy next. As for what I 'expect' them to do next...I'm not sure. I do LOVE the eastern front too(some of my favorite FH1 maps were east front). If I had to guess I think the move to the next front will be kind of like what the devs did when going from FH 2.1 to 2.15. Remember how news updates then showed us stuff from Africa and normandy. Some of the devs worked on/finished up some existing map ideas for Africa, while some others had already moved on to starting work on Normandy. I'm thinking there will be some devs(especially the mappers) who will want to do  other maps in a front where statics/player models/weapons/equipment are pretty much done already(later west Europe or Italy), while the rest of the team could move on to start the player models, weapon modeling/skinning/coding/animating, statics, etc for the next 'whole new front' that would require a new army(And out of fronts that would require a whole new army, I hope for Eastern Europe before Pacific).

Thats not a bad idea actually (the opinion of an outsider).  They could then work on a small new front with maybe 2 or 3 maps (like Finland), while also make a couple of Italian/French maps.  The latter would come out a few months after as 2.25, then several months after that comes 2.3 with the next front.

Dev's law states that they will do something that is completely un-expected and something that makes no sense. So I think we should all prepare to ship out to SE Asia in the next patch

Then we should stop guessing, because if we guess correctly they will have to change the theater and maps, as per dev's law. Eventually they will have every map, static, and vehicle done, but will not be able to release updates because we will have guessed every battle of WW2.
