General Discussion / Re: RiP ArminAce
« on: 16-08-2021, 20:08:04 »
Received the e-mail with this sad news. I did not know Armin and haven't a chance to talk to him, but it's a great loss to the FH community and mainly, for family and close friends.

My condolences! Armin will stay alive through his hard work and dedication to the modding community.

R.I.P. man!

Nice tanks! Actually, a flawed French project from the 30's, sharing a problematic feature common to other tanks of the period: that one-man turret. The different camos are very attractive, good job people!

As I read on Discord, the French maps won't have COOP support, what made me feel very disappointed at first. But maybe in the future we may see some official support, as is the case with Lenino, Motovskiy and Studienka. Whatever happens in the future, great job guys. This update will be mind blowing!

Beautiful revolver! Interesting detail about the cylinder. One question, which sideweapon was more commonly issued to the officers during WW2, the Ruby or this one?

Keep them coming guys! This will be a helluva of an update!

Everything is great!

Interesting the fact that almost all things used in France 1940 can be used in other contexts, like this field kitchen, as well as weapons, vehicles, etc...

About the church, what a masterpiece. The details are amazing! Of course the French guys have already figured out what map it belongs to. IMHO, FH2 is taking the right path towards historical accuracy with these outstanding statics (Ogledow estate, Lenino church, Studienka sign). It remembers me Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30, where many of the statics were based on actual constructions of the period, studied through photos of the period, aerial recon and the developing team visiting many Normandy villages (as many things are still there to this day).

It is a work of love and respect to History. Bravo!

Nice!

Our French handheld list is almost done. We just need some hand grenades and we are good to go!

Well done guys!

I must say, I was quite happy with our current Beretta, which has a very solid, beautifully crafted model (from the original FH!). But the new one is awesome, very detailed and, actually, two new guns in a row.

BTW, the bayonet will be fully operational on the M38?

Can't wait to see the new treats coming on 2.6. Lots of new content! Very well done job lads!

That's a cool weapon. When I first see the title, I tought of a weapon used in the Spanish Civil War. As a matter of fact, it was.

But I must say I love these enigmatic titles to the updates, would like to know if there is some poet out there or it's a team-made decision.

Damn, I always get confused with the huge Sherman family. A lot of models with minor differences between them. I was forced to check the files and the M4A2 is not there. Bump.

But yes, Lend Lease is a cool scenario indeed, just like that Thompson in Motovskyi or the rare Wolverine in Studienka. I hope a gifted dev take a look on this sometime in the future. Of course we already have the M3 Stuart and Lee like these https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/m3_volkhov.php, but they would need early scenarios, mainly in 1942.

Thanks guys for the heads up!

A little bit off topic, but do you guys consider the possibility of some Soviet Shermans in the future? Actually, just a re-skinned standard M4A2 (anyone, Matthew?), like here https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/m4a2_inlublin.php and here https://www.o5m6.de/redarmy/m4a2_76(w).php.

They would be useful to mostly maps from 1943 on, specially in the Ukrainian Fronts.

By the way, when I first read the "First to Moscow" announcement, I thought of an engagement in front of Moscow during Autumn/Winter 1941 (as the T-26 and BT-7 have been lurking around for some time on the Soviet vehicles page).

Anyway, wonderful update people, as usual. Can't wait to experience Fall Gelb!

You see, as jan said, there is no official bot support. AFAIK, you could get Arad from two sources: the original thread (http://fhpubforum.warumdarum.de/index.php?topic=20690.0) or through the CMP COOP Pack. Both of them works just fine for me on multiple installs.

Without further info, I can give you one advice: try to reinstall the map. Anyway, sometimes those maps can show some small, occasional CTD's. I think the T-34/85 issue was solved when the tank got official bot support last patch, if I recall correctly. You should try to run Arad WITHOUT the custom objects_vehicles_client provided on these installs.

Oh boy, I'm overwhelmed with emotion. Nice one team, nice one!

Did the finns and italy get the wz35?
Germans sold them to the Italians and Finns in 1941. If you are asking in game, then only Italians may receive some in form of pickup kits on NA maps.

That would be nice.

Three in a row. That's nice! Beautiful pistols. Congrats to everyone involved!

Hi everyone! Just browsing on the web, I found an interesting article that remembered me of FH2 right away.

https://tanks-encyclopedia.com/sticky-and-magnetic-anti-tank-weapons/

Nice info on AT grenades already present on the game and, maybe, ideas to the modellers out there... ;) Enjoy!
