Here I try to do a brief summarization of the essential quality of the most successful warriors I have so far observed on the servers. You might feel some lonewolfing here but that's only for convenience of illustration.
1. Calmness
I cannot stress how important calmness is, calmness is one of the most important qualities of a warrior. When one is nervous, he can't sense enemies, he can't aim, and consequently, can't survive.
I think everyone reading this must have the experience of facing 5 enemies at close quaters while alone with a bolt action rifle, it often end up all your shots missed and get killed just because you're too nervous to aim.
Here I should also mention that human eyes are very sensitive to moving objects, sometimes laying completely still is better than trying to run away, nervous players are more likely to get shot while hiding/retreating.
Generally, calmness allows one to use his full potential, thus, they are easily the most deadly ones.
2. Alertness, Sense
Have you the experience of feeling that a particular guy have "superhuman" sense and always found and shot you even when you tries to flank him? Or you always end up stepping on his S mines/tellermines? It could be cheating, but highly unlikely if PB is on.
Normally, a human player can only get information through 2 ways: by sighting, hearing. But one very important quality, intuition, is what distincts the better players from the mediocre ones.
Intuition is, to me, the power of "imaging" the battlefield using limited information.
What could dead silence mean to you? Are there some idiots laying mines in their own base? Or they are all afk and sitting like idiots? While these are possible reasons, it is highly unlikely the case. They are mostly trying to "sneak" behind your lines and shot you from behind.
Very similar for tank combats, when you hear engine sounds while you are not seeing any tanks, they must be all coming from somewhere else other than where you are looking at.
It's obvious, that when you killed someone somewhere, he must be coming for you after the next spawn, first fire a riflegrenade into your suspected hideout, or tries to stab you from behind. Or even call in artillery into your position. Now it's time for sense to work, it can't be a bad idea to place a S mine in some seemingly sweet spot to flank you. Or a drop of the deadly greenbox with good timing could be devastating.
Generally, people would be most nervous at the places that you was hiding, that means they are pretty easy preys if you could guess where they are coming.
3. Guts
I have seen many times people panic in the game, I could comfortably say that, panics mostly don't work in survival.
The most obvious cases are in tanking, say, a Tiger approaching in front, and everyone with Sherman just scared ,sit still and tries to penentrate the frontal armour... or worse, they bailed the tank and got mowed down by MG fire.
In 99% of the cases, the seemingly "wise" decision of bailing often resulted in quick death, as I have many times missed my shots at even empty tanks that I have the bailer mowed down. Or I have my enemy missing their shots even when I am almost sure it'll be a hit.
Guts is especially important in flanking movements or "suicide runs", because the more guts you have you'll be getting in better positions and surprise your enemies more. The most dangerous place is always the place most safe.
Due to time limitations I feel that I should stop here...

Weird title though, calmness, sense and guts are not the kind of qualities I associate with "The Warrior"
badum tish

It sounds a bit like Sun Tzu.
-
"Sun Tzu said that, and I'd say he knows a little bit more about fighting than you do, pal, because he invented it."

Omg I thought this topic was about him too!
Anyway - let me add another one.
4. Lazyness
If you're a real 'casual' player who litteraly lays back when playing it will decrease your chances of success with a 100%. Since your body is being set in 'low energy mode' your brain and senses follow that example. It's important to sit straight up, and blink often enough to avoid eyes tiring and your neck and shoulders from locking up.
Also, having a large monitor is the best thing ever. Do you notice yourself hanging forward 10CM from the screen scouting for moving pixels to take pot shots at or detect enemy armour? I'm one of those 'long distance' fighters and could sure use a bigger screen. Also, take regular breaks during load time or after deaths, and keep your eyes off of the screen for a moment. Whenever a map is loading I go get something to drink or eat, my blood starts flowing again and my muscles are relieved and my eyes are taking its round shape again.
Also, do you guys also notice how your first round of your gaming marathon is always the one you play best? I think it's because you start out relaxed, well fed and rested, with motivation, focus and ideas, and slowly but surely this all decreases as you get more tired, too fixed on the screen, not to mention frustrated from all kinds of sh*t like being shot by the same guy too often starting a vendetta on him and everyone else where you just want to take revenge, rather than enjoying the game with a clear mind.. :P
Right.
-
here i think i can contribute to how you can be mentally prepared.
Self Moral
all players usually starts with a high amount of moral in this kind of game it's very easy, you die - you kill + you win big+ you lose big- also before you go in try to do something to lift your spirit up extra or if you feel like the worst player ever (that is hardly the case that you are the worst), read some in your favorite book cuddle with your pet listen to your favorite music(music can sometimes play a big part of how you will perform if you listen to your favorite songs you may perform better than most players in the server because you get a nice moral boost) or do something else than glare at the screen while loading or while WfRspwn.

and 2 more things that a warrior dosn't do =
1. BASERAPE!!!!
2. SPAWNKILL
that are things a warrior will not do to get points.
let the enemy come out and then you kill him or he kills you.
BANZAI!!!.
it is more fun if you go all BANZAI on the enemy
that's when your mad at some 1 for killing you the hole time.
then you just get a tank drive true enemy AP FIRE or tank fire and go strait to wher the guy was
and shot him in his face!.
-
Unfortunately spawnkill can't be avoided. With new spawn places this might change :)

A warrior would pull out his knife when his opponent do the same.

i mean kill him with the tank :D
-
If any enemy pulls out a knife on me, and I had a SMG, pistol, or something useful in close quarters, I'd shoot him right there for pulling a knife.
-
Don't bring a knife in a gunfight. That's what I say.

what i mean is DON'T bring BAZOOKA in a knife fight
you get a kill and a team kill.
-
Don't bring a knife in a gunfight. That's what I say.
Unless you have the knife and are standing behind the gunman without him knowing.

true
-
then you are a ASSASIN! 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
stab and run stab and run stab and run in to a enemy tank
-
And a true warrior always sets his teams on number one and will do everything whats neccesary to achieve total victory. This also means spawnraping.
Both, its battlefield get real.
-
if some 1 is a good warrior he dosn't spawnkill or baserape
its just a way to get better points and then you look like a hero but your not
give enemy fair fight.
but if they did it get REVANGE! >:( >:( >:(
go FREAKING kill those baserapers and spawn campers !
what warrior do you guy's mean INF or ARMOUR ?
