oh yes you guys are right, lots of unfair/smacktardish behaviour in FH1 for about a year now, but you got to live with that, lots of FH1 vets turned to FH2, and new players who just need to learn about the game and rules, replaced them.

sure! i hostet a FHSW ( FH 0.8 ) server without punkbuster to give vista user and FH2 players the chance play FH1!

Question about FHSW, I downloaded it but where should I extract the files too? I tried the Mods section and the Mods/FH section but none worked.

what file is being extracted?
if its a folder called "FHSW" put it into your mods folder.

I play it alot. Hope it never dies, though it won't last forever. Hopefully FH2 will take it's place as the best WWII game around.

Damnit.. Enjoyed 2 nights playing it again but paid a terrible price, the Refresh rates that my PC needs for BF1942 make BF2 crash. I resetted it because my clan only plays on FH2 these days except for Frey sometimes.
I will miss FH1..

Just installed it and got it running w/ mappack #6.

Hopefully i can find a full server running some omaha charlie sector!

Haha yeah it wasn't all that fun but i loved the neubelwerfers(don't know if i spelled that right) raining down on the enemies.

A horrible thing happened today -- I uninstalled FH1. Yep, it's true.

The truth is, everytime I go back to playing it, I instantly get bored now. I'm not really sure why, but for some reason the drive just isn't there anymore. I guess it's because FH2 is in such great shape and its development is in full swing. The infantry combat in BF1942 just plain sucks ass (not anyone's fault but DICE) and I think that's the main reason.

Yeah while the combat really does suck the only reason i'm into it is the sheer amount of stuff that is not in FH2.

Jagdpanthers, Fireflys, Americans, Japs.

Still, as soon as normandy comes out i'll probably play it until i get bored then just play FH1 till the next big release.  ;D
