Banning people for nothing

Hey folks.

I introduced FH2 to a colleague and he was banned because of his nickname (Joachim Peiper). I know that Peiper was a famous and popular figure of the Waffen SS but banning him seems to be radical.

FH2 is great but it needs more players so I don't understand why he was banned for this stupid reason.

Your problem has nothing to do with this forum, you probably should visit [762] forum and post there (I guess it was [762] server, right?), also why your colleague can't manage it himself but you have to do that? Anyway, I bet he was warned and asked to change the nick before he got banned, it's not difficult to do that and that nick is clearly against the server rules, which you should read before joining a game next time.

I'm admin on 762 (though not the one who banned you, I only play on weekends usually) and I know those rules are stupid. I hate having to kick someone for naming their squad SS-PZ.Div or whatever. But I think it may have something to do with German law (762 servers are in Germany) and any Nazi/SS promotion is illegal.

Europe is kind of ass backwards about that kind of stuff.

Our server is hosted in a German company, we are bound to German law.

Maybe we should join that server and name ourselves Mohammed Atta, Osama Bin Laden,

While I've never understood people who wanted to play with names of mass-murderers etc, I thought that was a bit harsh. But honestly, I dont care enough to argue against it either.

I'm not surprised you're definding him as everybody knows that you fap to Peiper everyday. You even set his name as a password to the .rar file of your map IIRC.

That may be, but the difference is that reverence for American bomber crewmen is not associated with a dangerous right wing ideology which we don't want on this board.
