Change Static Vegetation to Overgrowth
« on: 13-02-2013, 19:02:25 »
Well Ive been creating the overgrowth shadowmaps for some of my maps. Unfortunately I have placed a few static vegetation in selected areas that obviously will not be affected by the overgrowth shadowmaps since those are static. Now i know how to change overgrowth into static vegetation. However, I am trying to now change a few static vegetation to overgrowth so those would be properly shadowmapped as well. Ive looked into the overgrowth files and suspect this has to do with the overgrowthcollision.con, but im not sure what all the values in that file are for. Does anyone know of a possible solution on how i can achieve this? thanks.

Why not hide overgrowth, then search for the overgrowth in your placed/used objects list (easiest way to find them, unless you want to fly around your map looking for them) and then replace those with real overgrowth?

thats what i may have to do, but im trying not to alter the absolute positions.

Then leave it as is, I don't think I see a difference in-game as it sort of knows it's overgrowth?

It's either replacing it with real overgrowth or leaving it as is - both ways work fine.
