* Airplane Tweaks and additions.  Fixed CTD on mouse scroll for FW190 ALT and BF109E ALT. (gunnie)
This interests me, what was the problem?

That...was just for the P-47 and P-51. Gunnie likes to screw with us testers and not put a name or anything in the title of his commits the to mod. :/

The issue with the FW190 with the bomb on the bottom was the scroll of the mousewheel and the icon displayed when you scrolled the wheel. For some reason, there was a conflict with these icons and how they were being displayed.

If you scrolled too fast, you'd CTD. Therefore, to stop the CTD. I just disabled the ability to scroll the icons with the mouse wheel. I think the issue was that it did not like the combination of select icons. ie.. A select icon on the nose mg's, along with icons for the wing cannon and the alternate icon for selection of the 500kg bomb.

As for flying tweaks.. Mostly done to the P-47 and P-51, but depending on how these are recieved by the community. I may do some more tweaking to the other aircraft, but for now. I need to see how the interaction between the airplanes turns out.

I do know that some do not like "short take-off runs".  That was originally done to allow the airplanes to use smaller areas on the maps to get airborne. Now that we are getting more purpose built "aviation focused" maps. I can go back and do some re-working on this.

I know that some do not like how the "Typhoon" flies and others do not like the "FW-190".  However, I can't please everyone and everybody, I can only take a cross-section of everyone's opinion and try and make things work in a manner that the majority can agree upon.

With the comments I recieved from the test group on the P-47 and P-51. I think I am getting closer to how things should or could be. Now we just need to see how all of the stuff stacks up against one another. Remember, this is a WWII first person shooter mod and not a flight simulator game.  Therefore, things are not always going to be exactly like the real thing. As there is no way to make it that way. However, I do try and have tried to give each airplane its own identity in how it flies.

In the end, it is all a great big experiment and work in progress when it comes to the airplanes.

So what you mean to say is: BF2 ;) I guess I need to test the same thing with the I-16, as it has the same set-up as the 109 bomber.
It's half naked people on boats. That's all.
Here in Finland we call that "summer".

Awesome update!

I'm so excited to play already with the new maps, sounds, weapon anims (Kev4000 :-*) and everything else ;D

And I wonder if the password will contain another Reichsflugscheibe like the Haunebu III...

Maybe something like /=:V-:R-:I-:L-1=\ ? :P

If you do not wish to download the torrent file, a regular .exe file will be available for download on Friday.
Is this up anywhere yet so us torrent-phobes can get a head start?  :)

Since the mirrors aren't passworded, they don't release them until they release the password.

The way to play ASAP is to get the torrent then just punch in the password, extract and install.  If you don't like torrents, you have to wait for a mirror, then wait to download while everyone who had the torrent is already playing.

And also the download servers will be slow down to the fact that a hell of a lot of people are downloading from there the same as you.

Fair enough chaps. I've just never seemed to have much success in getting them to work. I'll wait it out.  ;)
