One thing that should be considered on some maps is when the planes with bombs spawn.

For example the P40 with bombs on Sidi Bou Zid, the Planes on Meuse Riverline or the Hurricane with Bombs on Alam Halfa dont spawn at the beginning of the round only under certain command post constellations.

I think a map where this could be added is El Alamein if the ases dont get somewhat closer to the front line. Getting bombed three times in a row isnt that unlikely. If the way to the front line was only like 2,5 minutes alright. But how loing is it 3-4? At least it seem to me like that.

How many planes with anti tank equipment are on this map per team? 2 or 3? If the latter is the case the third could spawn only if the side has no command post. Only one or none of the central ones something like that.

Is there any hope to get the invincible driver/gunner bug fixed? As it sometimes occours on the M10 or Brenn Carrier for example.

T33 flamethrower tank. It had an improved flamethrower over the M4 zippo with twice the range, while retaining the 75mm gun. It was also built on the Sherman jumbo chassis

Okay now just add the 76mm gun to that and bring it ingame. You got the absolute horror for every German anywhere :D

The problem that I see with the planes is, that planes with bomb load are as agile as without bomb load. So a Mustang with bombs can still outturn the FW on Cobra for example, wich makes no sense at all. Idk whether it is possible to make different FM for one plane but with different equipments. I like the fact that planes in FH2 can have different roles and it is fun to try all this stuff.
The problem with this, is that when it would be implemented, the Mustang with bombs (to stick with the example) would be heavier in turning always, even after dropping it's bombs. That sucks quite hard too, so I guess it's a choice between two evils.

And the eleminate this problem I suggested to remove bombs from fighter planes, meaning those planes which have the maneuverability propblem you just described. Again its not the you wouldnt have planes with bombs. You still have the Hurricanes and P 47 etc. with bombs. Just those overpowerd fighter planes with bombs wouldb be gone.
So what is gained is better gameplay and realism (maneuverability) an loose a samll aspect of realism (that there where also fighter planes with bombs)

Again the FW 190 on totalize loosing its bomb isnt a big deal, for gameplay. So I dont see a problem hear besides some whining pilots.
I just dont know what to do with those P 40 on Sidi and Marethline. Are they more like the Spitfire or the Hurrican? If there are more like the Hurrican it isnt a problem in the first place.

Indeed, thanks!

Another point: I think fighter planes should NOT have bombs. I am mostly talking about the Me109, FW190, Spitfire, Mustang.
Planes like the Hurrican and P 47 belong in this category.

This would solve the realism problem with Mustangs etc. being just manuverable with bombs as without. Also on maps where such planes have bombs (god thanks only a few) they  arent really needed.
Cobra: Making the allies have two P 47 one with rockets, one with bombs and rockets, maybe give even both have bombs and rockets. But not this Mustang.
Totalize: Who needs the FW to have a bomb EXEPT the pilots for THEIR fun... They are needed to take down the allied airforce and arty. Everything else can be handled by the german armor.
Alam Halfa: No idea why the Me 109 has a bombs, not needed at all.
Siege of Tobruk: Germans dont really need a bomber besides the stuka.

Its not that they are easy to "find." Every decent pilot has remembered the positions of the flaks they dont have to be "found." So positioning them somewhere else wouldnt change much, since the pilots would just remember the new spots, nothing would change.

Though it is certainly right that some AA positions could be checked for better visibility.

Also another mayor problem that came up with 2.45 is the replacement of certain flak guns with others. I know this gave us more diversity in assets, but it often crppelt the gamplay.

Examples are the Flak 38 at the windmill on totalize. With the Flakvierling you could at least shot down maybe two planes if you where really lucky before you got a buch of rocket in your face. But the problem is the Flak 38 is so weak you wont be doing anything with it, or at least compared to the time you invest in using the asset. So now the windmill changed from very easy to pick out Flak for pilots to a Flak with no serious AA defence.

Same thing with the flags on Alam Halfa and Siege of Tobruk (yes I know theses maps are unfair in general) with the little Italian AA guns. Yes its nice to see those guns, I especially like them being caputred by the Brits. But they provide far less sufficient AA defence for those Flags, compared to the Bofors. I d say pretty much no defence at all.

Like everyone elso they have to learn how to land than. I almost never fly and I could mange a landing after a while. People having to learn new techniques, isnt a good counter argument for me.

We all know that FH aircombat isnt realistic or accurat, but more of a abstract thing. But still getting ammo from out of nowhere is a litte too much.

Its has a propeller engine so it should be able to fly relativly slow compared to jet planes, so I thinks its possible.

Can't judge on FH2, but from my FH1 experience i would like to add this:
If you force a pilot to land+stop everytime he needs a reload, the result will be that the planes on both sides will always rape each other.

The rule on 762 is (and this is the only relevant server, therefore it stays fpr public play) that you are not allowed to attack starting planes or planes on the ground inside the base. Its in the "planes only attack statics in enemy base" rule iirc.

There must have been some point in Fh2 history on which the devs decided to drop naval maps. So that is probably when the swordfish and the subamrine became unnecessary.

Removing the bombs from the Italian fighter plane wpulöd be a first step. Also the Brits should get their Bofors back, instead of those italian guns. I understand that they have been added for extra fluff and historical accuracy. In fact its really cool that the Brits use captured Italian guns, but the probelm is they are even worse as the Flak38 (which is really bad allready), they air defence especially on maps like Alam Halfa anf SoT.

What could and should be changed is that the capzones of the first 3 flags should be made accesible by tanks far more easily, this the absolute number one reason for the Brit inf getting spankilled all the time. OF course if this get implemented the vehicle layout would need to be rebalanced.

It might be a candidate for the Finland maps. There we wouldnt have the problem with mg42 and at least much lesss with tank coax, because the finns wont have many tanks i suppose.
