This has been mentioned a couple of times, but only one thread has been done (and it was CRAP, "give the medic an adrenaline shot")

I think that you should add at least a weapon to the medic, give him the thompson/mp40 like in FH1 and BF1942 (and every other war game) because at the moment it's shit! A pistols aren't enough... who would like to run around with a kit that only has a pistol and some bandages, rambo maybe...? Another thing is the revive ability. Add some sort of thing that you could revive people with (then throw the bandages to heal him), I know it's not that realistic but heck, even Project Reality got it and all they go for is reality.

Once you at least add an heavier gun than the pistol to the medic, I'll play him 24/7!

Also, have it like it is atm, just place out a kit somewhere on the map, then everyone wont go medic.

1. PR doesn't go for reality, they go for teamplay
2. Medics are op in vanilla, why make the same mistake in FH2?

But,they are pretty useless right now...
No one uses the kit...I just take it because I like playing with pistols...and he got 5 magazines...
About healing...useless

The only medics that carried weapons heavier then pistols on a regular basis were german medics on the ostfront, where they didn't expect the russians to not shoot them.

Also, last I checked, game play was fine without medics.  Why try to fix that which is unbroken.

How does that even remotely compare to FH2 where there is 1-2 medic kits per map, a more mature playerbase and no RPG element (recorded stats, ranks, awards)?

You do know that ranks will return together with custom medals? As already seen on ranked servers?

i think the medics kits are more an "easter egg" and "fun"  thing than an actual useful weapon.

face it in fh2 you mostly die from one rifle/mg shot and 2-3 smg/pistol shots
if you survive a hit you take your personal bandage and go on fighting.
there is no need for a designated medic class.

we tried it in normandy betatesting, even gave the class a rifle + pistol (which made him a great fighting class and no one used the "medic" bandages stuff) it made no sense to put the medic in game.

imo,the pickup kits you find on some maps can be seen as nice addons that can come in handy  in some rare cases (sfakia close combat battle the pistol gets useful compared to rifles) but the actual "healing" of people almost never happens. mostly because you die so easily.

 ;) it proves FH2 is realistic.
Medic are for Conscientious Objectors.
Perhaps more bandages to spread more of them would be interresting( so you can heal more people).

PS:In bf2, i remember some guys who have never killed a player, they just heal and revive.

That was still only one of the 3 arguments.

I don't really care about the medic class anyway as it just wouldn't work well with the realism approach and the high damage weapons.

Well just give the medic an heavier weapon, it would make it a more fun "easter-egg class" Also since there's only 2 kits per map, I don't see any negative about it...

Sure i can agree with the health kit thingie.


Also, PR goes for reality more than FH does anyways!
