Suggestions / Maps orientation

Is it possible (in a future release) to modify/rotate maps that doesn't fit real the battlefield orientation?  As perfect example, Port en Bessin where north is south (English Channel is south of France land) and west is east.



IMHO, this break immersion. It can also be quite confusing when communicating about "incoming tank from north".

Suggestions / Tunis map, remove ammo boxes

We all know the map to be a grenade festival.   This is even worst with 64+ server.  :-\

This annoyance could be decreased drastically by simply removing ammo boxes on the map, an particularly the one found in building facing (west) old mosque flag zone.  When Allies take the 3 first flags, Axis have unlimited grenades at hands ready to be thrown on city gate shock points.  This mix of shock points and unlimited grenades turn every round into a shrapnel mess, imho.


N.B. Yesterday, i posted the exact same text in the tunis feedback forum/thread. I don't think people ever consult it, so I decided to start a new thread to have your opinion on the subject.  Sry for the double post

Bug Reporting / Static mortar repair

When i repair static mortar with a wrench, i can only do so for about 1-2 sec.   After that, repair stops so i have to left click again.  This is quite annoying and makes it a clumsy operation.  Is it a feature or a bug that has never been pointed before?

Suggestions / Disable anti-personal mines

Currently, there is no way to disable anti-personal mines (friendly or not).  I think it would be interesting to change the situation.    The way to disable AP mines can also be debated.  Special kit/class, use of a tool to trigger them, simply make them explode with a gun shot, etc.

 I throw the idea, just to know what you think about it.

Is someone know why awards displayed ingame at the end of rounds are messed up 50% of the time?  As example, medals are given to people not even near of the top 3 in the points department.  Same things with second screen awards such "most flag taken" etc. 

Servers using [762] ranking seems less prone to mess those awards than official ranked servers (hslan in particular).  Is the randomness of laureates is something wanted by server owners and/or the official ranking system?  Is it a bug?

Suggestions / Simulate disabled tank

People are complaining about tanks no longer 1s1k with last release.  Maybe this idea could be a good compromise.

I wonder if the engine permit reduction of tank specs (like speed or turret traverse) if tank is not 100% healthy.   Example, under 15% of health, armor speed could be zero.

    I really wonder where i could get ammo resupply on the battlefield.  Static Ammo boxes don't seems to work.  Same thing with APC.  Maybe ammo truck?  The only source that i'm 100% certain is paradropped ammo boxes.  Is there any other source?

Suggestions / 2 pounder repair time

It takes about 5 seconds to bring back to combat a destroyed 2 pounder by a single engineer.  I dont know if it's a bug but the repair time is ridiculously short when compared to other static weapons.  Imho, the repair time should be increased.  The current situation (allies with 2pnd always up) kills the gameplay of a map like Siege of Tobruk.

Suggestions / Spare slot on light vehicules

What i would really like to see in FH2, is one spare slot for light vehicules that has currently only one (ex: Vicker, SdKfz 222, SdKfz 231, Daimler)  This would give a place to spawn for a squad member when those vehicules are drived by squad leaders.  To some extend, even stationary weapons could benefit for an extra slot, and this is not wacky if you think they were all manned by more than one guy in ww2.

Hi guys,

i always wondered if the FH2/BF2 server options allow automatic selection of map size in function of the number of players playing at a given time.

Lets say... 30 players are on a server at the end of a round because it's late in europe, the server select a 32 players map for the next round.  1 hour later, players count drops to 10 so the server select one of the 16 players maps availables.

Is this feature already exist?

If not, is it possible for FH2 devs to add this feature?

This feature would be awesome for american players who join full european servers that become half empty one hour after they begin to play at week evenings.

In FH2, can HUD display the english translation of received command voice orders, as it does in FH1?    When playing germans or italians, it's really hard to comply to orders without any readable translation.

Bug Reporting / Spotted infantry with binocular

Hi folk, i dunno if it's a bug but frequently,  when I spot an enemy infantry with binoculars, the minimap shows a stationnary vehicule icon (looks like a racing car) instead of an arrow.  Unfortunatly, I dont have any screenshot for now, but i guess i'm not alone experiencing this.  I really wonder what that icon means.  Any clue?
