I'm really starting to like Tywin Lannister. Having just rewatched Season 1 and Season 2 and with the latest episode, he seems to be one of the most intelligent and clear-headed characters.

I'm glad the Stark mother died, what a total pain in the ass. Also hoping Theon gets flayed by Bolton's bastard.

also dont fuck with arya

Stab stab stab

I don´t exactly know why, but for some reason I absolutely can´t stand show-Arya. Book-Arya was always kinda cool, but I just dislike her in the show. Her whole demeanor just feels...odd and pretty lame. Maybe it´s the actress, I dunno...
Also, I feel like the ending was extremely cringe-worthy and pretty kitschy, especially with the Enya-like music playing in the background. The conquest of Yunkai was also pretty disappointing...
What I really liked were Roose Bolton, Davos Seaworth and Tywin Lannister. Their actors fit the roles perfectly and it´s a joy seeing them on screen.

What bugged me a bit was how the Stannis scene where he decides to go for the North was a tad different from the book. AFAIK it wasn´t so much Mellisandres influence that moved him, but the persuading of Davos who convinced him to give up pursuing his selfish interests and work on protecting the realm, instead.

Another small-ish thing: Did they merge the Storm Crows and the Second Sons into one mercenary group? In the books Daario was a member of the first group, yet in the show he´s an officer in the latter.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke, that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall, with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

A moment of your time?

Thanks.

So, those who have not read the first book, could you answer one little question for me?
This will not spoil anything, since by book 5 we have not heard an answer.

Do you have an idea who are Jon Snow's parents?

It was hinted in the first book, but I can't tell how well it came through in the series.

You don't have to mention names, but since it's all speculation it can't really spoil anything.

I haven't read the books and have no clue who his parents/mother is. But from the series I assume his father is Eddard. Although I could have missed a hint in the series.

Also after series 2 a friend and I started to think that he could have been a bastard of Lyanna.

But then again I have no clue and might have missed a hint.

I've been reading the first book recently and I'm past the hint moment of John Snow's identity but in the series, Robert and ed had a small conversation during which a name of 'Betsy' came up - this is all I know from the TV, and that Eddard doesn't want to talk about it.

No, Betsy was Robert's whore with the big tits. Wylla was supposedly the woman Eddard named as the mother of Jon.

BTW I heard Daario was recast? Kind of stupid, but then again I didnt really liked the actor, looked like somebody you would usually find on the cover of tacky Romance books, with the shirt half open and a lighthouse in the background, while a dame looks longingly into the distance from his embrace. NOt like a mercenary at all.
