I really hope 1 manned. Remember how nice it was back in '42 when someone decided to take that Wespe you had in perfect shooting position to the planes/other tanks/other side of the map? I like to think average FH2 player is lot better than that, but we do get random griefers every now and then...

If its one manned its only going to be used as direct fire howitzer so please no 1 seater. You should do it POE style where arty has 2 seats but only one man operates and changes positions, when you are in arty it gets locked and others cant get in it.

well 2 manned SP arties should be in defiantly. Even with an awesome friend and team communication, it would still be difficult to operate well

As a direct fire weapon, it will be good, but not very much better then a sherman. Because of only 64 players on a map

But the point is they were never used for direct fire like a Sherman, so why tempt the frustrated guy who just spawned and wants to avenge his squad after some asshole in a Lafette massacred them.

I think 2 seats will be fine. Most people only want speed when they're looking for a taxi, and I like to think that a few weeks of yelling at the influx of noobs will turnover the ones that don't know better.

mobile arty in FH was always 2 seater, and the stuka zu fuss currently is...so I don't see why it wouldn't be now

2 seater seems the best way for gameplay, otherwise it will be will be used more as a powerful TD then a SPG.

Oh it won't work as a TD...mobile arty was issued very little in the way of AP, and even then, it was extremely low velocity and so about as effective as the AP rounds in the Panzer IV short barrel.

they did

M7 Priests where sometimes used behind a wall of shermans. Even with the sherman 105. This was because the M7 Priest could achieve a faster ROF. And it had good protection to face minor threats

The M12 was famously used at point blank range in aachen.

The germans used Wespe's and Grilles alot at direct fire support, but dint had the means to protect them, and many where lost this way.

The russians thought about this, and simply made the SU122, SU152, ISU122 and ISU152. These had the roles of Self-propelled gun, Indirect artillery support and tank destroyer

well the M12 crew in Aachen did not even aimed... they just pointed the gun towards a building and just fired

Yes yes, but I mean in the gameplay mechanics awkward, IE, in the terms of one driver seat, one gunner seat.  This also makes further sure that it is mostly used as indirect arty, its use as direct fire should be rather rare and only in extreme scenarios.
