General Discussion / Re: Bad admin

You continued to stand on and when there was a 76mm Sherman and I was only waiting for him (on the server is usually "wait in line"(NOT LINES, L I N E(one kit!)))), the second number you jumped and started blaming me that I am breaking the rules of the server?!

I'm not sure to understand you correctly.  Is the wait in line rule apply on single asset (ex : sherman 76mm) or group of assets (ex : any kind of sherman/tank)?

I'll bring back this one:

Give SMGs at least some suppression power (even if it's just a small half a metre radius)... It's ridiculous that I shoot at a guy hiding behind a wall 25 m in front of me, and he just pops out with his rifle and places a bullet between my ears without a twitch. Has he no fear of death?  >:(

+1

The ricochet glitch also happen when firing artillery HE rounds.  I cannot say if it's because it falls directly on a player, but you clearly see the shell deflected quickly out of screen with a ricochet sound and no explosion.

Short answer: NO.

Right, the mod team has the final decision to not include custom maps in releases.  On the other hand, the 762 admins can decide that custom maps will be played by the FH2 community on a regular basis.  They own the only populated 64+ server and if they impose a mappack and put the download url in the server name, i'm positive that we will all download it and play new maps.

Lets face it dudes, 762 stats system is way deeper, exhaustive and complete than "official" one that came years later.  No comparison.

Bug Reporting / Re: Win8 install problem
« on: 17-04-2013, 17:04:39 »
I installed it on Win8 weeks ago without any issue, so it shouldn't be OS related.

Just asking, did you extracted all the zip content on your HardDisk and then started the installer .exe from extracted files?  Installation fails if the installer is started from inside 7zip.  To install on HD, rightclick on the downloaded file, choose 7-zip->extract Here.  When extraction process is done, start the installation from new extracted files.

If it still don't work, you can also try to give administrator privileges to the .exe installer file.  To do so, you right-click on the .exe file (on your HD), choose Properties->Compatibility and then click checkbox named "Run this program as an administrator".  Then click apply button and retry the installation.

Hope it helps.

Regarding the confusion thing...

The Pointe du Hoc (version 16p) has only two flags that are named by their cardinal position.  Something like (i can't recall the exact names) "West port" flag that is actually east of the "East port" flag.   :-X

Is it possible (in a future release) to modify/rotate maps that doesn't fit real the battlefield orientation?  As perfect example, Port en Bessin where north is south (English Channel is south of France land) and west is east.

IMHO, this break immersion. It can also be quite confusing when communicating about "incoming tank from north".

Having just received a reply to an e-mail I sent to the cFos support team I can confirm that what I feared to be the case is true-the issue cannot be resolved with the aid of cFos and it is not routed within the msconfig (time to reach 127.0.0.1 is exactly 0ms). I therefore concluded that the issue must lie in the server or it's set-up. Does anyone still have an idea how I could end this nightmare  :-\ ?

Really sry to hear that.  I just hope you can benefit from your money investment when playing online.

Sry for my lack of reply in the last days, my girlfriend broke an ankle and i was on her side most of my spare time.

Use also the highest for your server.  The application should bias any network connection, even the localhost (127.0.0.1).

Your welcome!  :)

Before judging if it fixes your networking issues, use the "calibrate line" functionality at least one time.  Also, add the forgottenhope.exe inside your game listing and give it the highest priority.  Finally, be sure that the global setting "Favor Ping" is activated before gaming.  You can switch back easily to "favor downloads" when you really need the max download bandwidth.
