So, who was watching the news lately? Paris march? You know it all? Maybe not:

The heads of more than 40 states united at the Paris march to set a sign against terrorism.

Lets see, who do we got there?
You can recognize Jean-Claude Juncker, President of the European Comission, Benjamin Netanjahu from Israel and the palestine President Mahmud Abbas.

This is the same picture in some minor jewish newspaper, by the way. Women phobia, anyone?

However, they march along with the ukrainian President Petro Poroschenko, then Angela Merkel and the french President François Hollande; the Black guy is actually the President of Mali, Ibrahim Keïta. And then there is the french President Nicolas Sarkozy. - WAIT. WHAT? WHO?

Super Sarko identified. Nicolas Sarkozy, the leader of the french conservative party.

Looks like we got two french Presidents in charge now. :P

And the moral of the story? If Super Sarko wasn't there, it probably didn't happen. ;D

Well, you know, things are not always as they look.

It might be nice to think that they did lead the public march, but in fact they did not dare to be to close to the common people.

Very interesting picture, I already thought it was fishy to think they would really be among the people

Close enough for us Asian country citizens.

Our leaders would not appear without US-like security details. At least Cameron took the tube, the Dane ride bicycle, and the Swiss president guy queued to get into the train.

It might be nice to think that they did lead the public march, but in fact they did not dare to be to close to the common people.

Did not dare? Do you really think they had any say in this?

Of course 40 of the world's top leaders can not march together with a random crowd, it would pose impossible security problems. Especially not in a nation that currently is at the highest state of alert due to very recent terrorist attacks. I'm sorry but it's just stupid to think that such a large group of such high value targets could really march next to millions of citizens without completely compromising their safety. The security services would never allow it.

The live broadcasts used helicopter and rooftop shots all the time, they never tried to hide this. The story that those pictures deliberately use an angle in which they seem to walk in the crowd itself was fabricated afterwards. The angle at which those pictures were taken is nothing more than a coincidence.

Sadly I did not see it live, I tuned in an hour later. Still all the images and videos I saw in the media did suggest that they went ahead with a large crowd of people following. (Mind you, I watched it on RT, Al Jazera, BBC, CNN, Euronews and N-TV). I really was wondering earlier what they would do, exactly because of the security reasons you mentioned. I was very astonished that it looked like they took some risk with being so close to so many people and all in the open.

So actually I am not saying the news and politics did deliberately try to fool people, but it´s a good example that topics can be shown in a certain way, only by leaving other views out, leading to a completely different opinion. So actually the clear message from this is to not trust the media blindly..

Anyway, something funny from Potsdam, Germany, 1938

I don't find an irony in it anymore, after all we're living in the 21st century.

Report on Ukraine Donetsk Airport Offensive:
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-30874961

Ukraine forces using AT guns and ptrs/ptrd. I assume those are used by volunteer units...?  Does Ukraine have such things in reserve storage or were these taken from private collections/museums?

Since russia still has over a few 100 000 Maxim MG's from WW1 and WW2...

Russian & Ukraine still has a massive arsenal filled with these weapons. PPSH, PPS, PTRD, DP28. You name it. Because if another major war happens, they still have these weapons to fight with
