I watched "Män som hatar kvinnor" earlier today.
It's base on novel of same name by Stieg Larsson. Some time ago I got the Larsson's Millennium-trilogy as a present, and no I have read Män som hatar kvinnor and half of the second part, Flickan som lekte med elden. The books are awesome. They are like weird mix of Agatha Christie, Dan Brown and something peculiar but cool stuff.
Anyway.
The film was good. Obviously not as good as the novel, but surprisingly good. Better that I thought. It lasts two and a half hours so of course they had to cut something and shorten some parts. I don't know if it's easier to follow the film if you have read the book, but I suggest reading it anyway. Acting was good Swedish quality and the characters were somewhat like I imagined they would be whilst reading the book. The hero, Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) was just as annoying as I thought when I was reading the book, so I guess that tells something. The heroin Lisbeth Salander, played by Noomi Rapace, was also rather awesome.
Jävla Kalle Blomkvist...
Where was I? Oh, yes. Definitely worth watching, this one goes straight to my Top-3 Swedish films -list.
Four points out of five.
