This thread is now about paleontologists.

No it's not, don't be silly.

Does this series feature velociraptors or any other small, cute and feathery dinos?

Velociraptors would not be historically accurate if this is supposed to be 85 Ma ago.  In fact, if the dates on the wiki page are to be considered accurate, there are no known feathered dinosaurs in that period (plenty before, plenty afterwards so made up ones would be fine).

I didn't really except too much historical accuracy from this one ;D

I find the show to be so badly acted and planned that it is actually quite enjoyable, just because it's so cheesy.  And George Pickett is the leader of the whole thing!

Like every Dinosaur or big scary animal movies, bullets don't do much here.

But it effectively punctures everything in the hands of multimillion dollar-paid Hollywood stars.

Most reviews where of the first 3 episodes. these had indeed cheesy conversations. Currently at episode 7 and i have to say i like this series. The dino scenes are epic and they dont stop coming(unlike The walking dead with declining zombie action) and the story, characters and conversations, dialogs have picked up pretty well.

I like it

Fringe <3

Watch Boardwalk Empire.  Terra Nova is a bad kinda good.  Like "this is really cheesy so it's fun."  Boardwalk Empire is "OMFG THIS IS BRILLIANT I WANT MORE MORE MORE INJECT THE 1920S INTO MY BLOODSTREAM"

Back me up on this, Flipster.

I'd say no, but try the pilot. It would be the top show on Nickelodeon though I guess. Remember the Deep Space Nine eps without any real action? Add kids and teens to that and you're there, and that's offending DS9 even.

Le mudra's is correct

Boardwalk empire is the way to go, if you like other stuff like dino's and a not bad but not the best series, then Terra nova is a good series aswel

Surely mid 22nd century technology is no match for dinosaurs?

I mean, in Jurassic Park you had unarmed kids, archaeologists and Jeff Goldblum, but fully armed mechanised soldiers having trouble with animals?
Damned you.... It's not an archeaologists but a paleontologists... :P
I was going to make that same correction! :p

BWE has ruled my life for the past 12 weeks. I cant think of ways how to survive all the way through the first quarters of 2012 so we can get back to this magnificent series in the autumn for its third season.

Im obsessed by it.
