Actually Motovskiy Bay, also by me, was the first winter EF map.
The battle occurred at May 4th, 1942. Is that winter?  ;D
And the terrain of the map does not have snow.

Looks really nice. I'm really glad we are getting a winter EF map.
WOW, really, indeed this is the first winter EF map. Didn't notice this before. Even the WF maps already have 4 winter maps.

Actually it's funny you brought this up. I was randomly looking at old news releases earlier today and read through the news update where they revealed the British player models. I remember seeing those renders when they were first posted, and the utter joy of having FH2 seem so close and tangible! (This was back in those dark, dark days before 2.0 came out).

Not exactly sure how much work it would take, but I don't think it would be that necessary to tweak the current models. True there is some smirk to them, but I take it as the "Come and get it Jerry!" stereotypical British enthusiasm, which gives the faction a interesting feel (at least to me).

In the end, I think it's a pretty minor detail and whatever time that could be spent on tweaks would be much better used on those Soviet player models...  ;) (hopeful wink)

It's interesting to hear there is someone else on the other part of the world doing the similar things. ;D
For me, I started playing FH since FH0.7 came out, and since then I threw myself into attention for FH2. Actually I feel it was a period mixed with joy and pain for the several years before first releae of FH2 came out. Everyweek the news update made me excited and imagining what the real FH2 would be like. Sometimes the news did not come regularly and it just made me frustrated. In my country there is not too many people who know FH. So I kept on doing advertising for it on forums. It's what I keep on doing up to now. I remember before FH2 came out, for several times I seeked the stuff of FH0.7 and tried to find out what is still in lack for FH2's release. It's really very nice feeling to recall all of these.

Rad's model is quite excellent, but I think there is still some room to improve.

David & Peter has some feeling of smile on their faces, I think soldiers on the battlefield should be looking more tense.
If there would be some improvement for their faces, that would be great.

BTW, it would be very appreciated if devs could make COOP more stable in the next version. I love to play FH2 but at the moment there is only 762 or some tournament servers still active. Because of connecting from asia, the extreme high ping makes me keep on "sliding" walking in 762 and very difficult to take any effective action. Recently I find it still a bit funny to play on Veteran-Gaming COOP server. It's human vs BOTs. But the server randomly crashes and when rejoining, the guys probably have left. :'(

I'm using 1400*900 resolution for 19'' LCD. Is there any way to play FH2 in 4:3 in non-windowed mode? My LCD does not have 4:3 mode in the display setting.

Developer Blogs / Re: Mobile Anti-tank guns
« on: 12-03-2012, 06:03:40 »
The effectiveness of mobile anti-tank guns ingame has been limited by issues of stability or sliding, maximum traverse and elevation limits, and general mobility.

For our next public release, these will receive a major overhaul!
Changes include:
- Separation of gunner and pusher. Including a walking animation for the pusher.
- Stability. When gunning, the guns will not slide around.
- Most gunners are positioned better behind the shields.
- Faster pushing, especially on the smaller ones.

Find your AT gun, push it into position, and await enemies!

Incredible improvement to FH2!
Kev, does this mean there is also possiblility for animation of riding bicycle?

It's already Nov 25th, still see nothing about MOTY news on ModDB website. ???

FH2 rocks! ;D Although one mod cannot win MOTY continuously.

Off-Topic / Re: Guys, what monitor do you use to play FH2?
« on: 14-06-2011, 09:06:50 »
1650x1080 (so 16:10).

even with BF2 v1.5 patch, the graphic is also compressed on a wide-screen monitor, right?
is there any solution to handle this? a compressed Garand looks weird.

Especially for devs/betatesters, what monitor do you use to play FH2?  ::)
5:4 or 16:9, or 16:10?

Rest in peace, Jim. And condolences to your family.

Thank you for all you do for FH.
