note edited your post a little to remove some text wallage on my part...

@ HFb,
Most canadians would rather be neighbours with America than any other country in the world. As a nation, we hold many pretensions but let's face it.

"we are just as xenophobic, conservative, politically backwards and war mongering as the Yanks are"
I think I've screwed this quoting up...

Yup, I wouldn't want it any other way. It's better to have a big brother who'll kick anyone's ass than, well, a weaker country.

Give me a greencard and I'll love you even more with all your nice games studios. :P

Plus, I really like most of the americans I meet. I can't say the same about most canadians, mind you it is probably because I've been in Vancouver for the last few years. Place is a magnet for pricks...
hey stylie, hows the DJing going? i still enjoy FH forum tears :)

Not to bring the board down but I lost my Mom in April  :'(. 2 year battle with liver and colon cancer. I made a promise to her (unspoken, in my mind) that I would be available to her any time any place. As a result I basically shut the business down completely. I could not possibly imagine having to DJ at a sweet 16 or something frivolous when she needed something. I wouldnt care if it was a glass of milk. I set out to make the last year 100% without regret and I was able to do it. As a result my fledgling business floundered. Still no regrets. Starting to pick up slowly again.
Man, that sucks. I had the exact same thing happen to me three years ago, it was liver cancer, although I only was told about it when she had 2 months to live.

It's great for when you're feeling a little tired or just want to drown out the rap that someone in the car beside you is listening to. :P

These games would be great if it weren't for those annoying horns that seem to have been given out for free. They just irritate the hell out of me; jebus forgive if you ever heard the players or the ball being struck which, for some reason, adds a lot to my viewing pleasure.

It is a pretty dumb national anthem you have to admit.
Oh, of course. I sure hope that no one thought I was being sincere.

This story didn't literally happen to me though it happened in front of my sister; anyways, an elderly Dutch man came into her work and the receptionist just happened to have been the granddaughter of a soldier who'd liberated the same town that this Dutch man had been in during the war. Don't ask me how exactly they got to that conclusion because the story wasn't explained that well to my sister, don't know how much of it that she saw, and then it wasn't explained in great detail to me. Nonetheless, quite a heartwarming little anecdote. Oh, and there was a nice little emotional moment too I'm told.

Here's something that I used to write an AEF paper for my American-history course(it's the stars and stripes published while it was over in France). If somebody already posted it, I scanned the thread so oops.:

Mr Controversy = Mr.Deceptive

You can't run out of good, heated argument once he lets his opinion be heard

I do't know how you can say the mac book is horrible Fuchs....
600 euros of hardware, and I pay 1200 euros. Ah well, at least it works.
That's the problem with them moose. I would have bought one or two of the Mac windows-PC looking ones without the screen attached, because having a screen and a keyboard all in one is fucking idiotic in a PC, by now, but I look on their website and see how they charge an added ~20% for all the components and just say no.

The problem that Fuchs is talking about is just a poorly set up computer, but what I'm pointing out is their major flaw imo. Mind you, I do see why they do it which is to pay for their tech support. Also, yes, their OS is less expensive by itself, but as someone who has never called any shitty tech-support line, I don't want their whole system bundled in with the price of a PC. It works great for schools and all that but not me.
