As we approached the beaches, all I could think of was one specific line in the speech General Eisenhower before we left England: “The free men of the world are marching to victory!”
I felt reassured as we left in the L.C.I.’s even though I could not hear myself think because of the hundreds of explosions around me.

I still can’t describe the horror I saw when we stopped.

The hatch opened and suddenly the first 7 men die in front of me. I ran forward and as I approached the beach, I saw my own friends a few feet away from me have their arms and heads shot off, I could only see bullets flying... I didn’t even know where the hell we were, where was my company? All I could think of was that the war had begun.

Battle of Britain
A Forgotten Honor Event

"Minutes went by. Green fields and roads were now beneath us. I scanned the sky and the horizon for the first glimpse of the Germans.
A new vector came through on the R.T. [radio telephone] and we swung round with the sun behind us.
Swift on the heels of this I heard Yellow flight leader call through the earphones.
I looked quickly toward Yellow's position, and there they were!
The sky seemed full of them, packed in layers thousands of feet deep.
They came on steadily, wavering up and down along the horizon.
'Oh, golly,' I thought, 'golly, golly . . .'

Modding / [WIP]Operation Martlet
« on: 18-02-2010, 19:02:03 »
Operation Martlet:

The operation
Operation Martlet (also known as Operation Dauntless) was the name given to the diversionary operation undertaken on 25 June 1944 by the 49th (West Riding) Infantry Division of XXX Corps to support Operation Epsom, the assault by the British VIII Corps into the Odon Valley. The Division's role was to provide flank security for the advancing VIII Corps and to ward off any counter-attacks. It was its first combat operation of the war.

The operation failed to achieve its objectives by the end of 25 June, resulting in further heavy fighting over the following days as the 49th Division continued pushing southwards. This fighting can be seen to form part of Operation Epsom. The battle finally drew to a close on 1 July, when the division saw off a strong attack by elements of 2nd SS Panzer Division.
BROUGHT TO YOU BY WIKIPEDIA

Map Description
During Operation Epsom, the VIII Corps would be endangered on its right flank from the Rauray Spur. The Spur and the villages, Fontenay-le-pesnel, Tessel-Bretteville, Rauray, Juvigny had to be taken to make sure the right flank of the VIII Corps was secure during their advance.
At 0415 hours, a heavy artillery bombardment started, and around 0500 hours, it started to move forwards. Behind the Creep Barrage the men started to move through the thick dust.

Still doing some research, and gameplay designing before I start working again on the actual map.

« on: 18-10-2009, 00:10:43 »
I'm sorry, I know that there are already a few posts about this, but deleting the shader cache didn't work for me.

Well, I don't really know how to solve this problem now. I am sure that my computer can handle it(the game). And I am having a Nvidia Geforce Video Card.

I hope that somebody knows a solution.

Well when you get online and the part below the server list, where you can see the teams, it doesnt say axis/allied but team 1 and United States Marine Corps.

What could cause this?

I have no idea if this a known bug or error.

FH2 Help / Support / A few questions
« on: 11-09-2009, 22:09:08 »
Well, I have already played the 2.15 version of this great MOD. And I was very impressed when I saw that the 2.2 version was out, and of course i downloaded it. But now, I have 1 problem and 1 question.

First thing is, is it smart to just use my BF2 account? Or is it better to create another one?

and second thing is. I get an error every time AFTER I shut down this mod. This is what the error says:

Failed to move 'Battlefield 2/mods/bf2' back to 'Battlefield 2/mods/bf2.tmp': You may need to run fh2.exe as a higher privilege user: Toegang geweigerd(this means something like: access denied, it is dutch). But I already run it in Administrator mode in Vista.

If my English is a bit bad in this post, then it is because I am dutch. So, But I hope that everybody do understand it.

It's my first post on these forums btw ;)
