Pegasus all the way. I find it to be a dynamic/well done map.

I've figured out a niche for myself on Sammatus, so I enjoy it more, but it is still my least favorite new map.  The new proposed updates will make a big difference.

I also love playing Seelow because it reminds me of the FH1 Seelow.  It is a hard map to be sure, but the epic struggle through its chaos makes it extremely fun.

Someone mentioned tickets, and I have to say that in FH2 in general, the tickets confuse me.  Some large maps like El AL have like 500 tickets, while others have 2000. Is this a server setting issue?

Fun fact: he already posted it there, but for some reason decided to open the same topic here, double post and derail it himself. He's a pure chaos, can somebody lock it?

I posted under the Africa Feedback, but it never showed up as a new post.  So I didn't think anyone would notice it.  Therefore, I posted in the Suggestions instead.

I guess a more relevant question is whether or not there will be any more updates to FH2? Do the DEVs view the mod as complete at this time?

I still have never seen the British come close to winning this map.  After doing so reading, it appears Operation Supercharge started at 1:00 in the morning with infantry clearing a way through the mine fields.  Would it be possible to convert the 64 player version of this map into a night map.  This may increase infantry survivability and give the British more of a chance.

Operation Supercharge / Re: Operation Supercharge 64

I'm digging up this old thread because I still never see the British come close to winning this map.  Supercharge started at 1:00 in the morning, so I think this should be a night time map. This may also increase infantry survivability.

Moved my post to suggestions.

Does anyone actually use the mine detectors?

I do wonder if the blast radius of the bazooka, PIAT, and panzerschrek are a little bit large. Since they are shape charge weapons, shouldn't the blast be mostly directional.

I just noticed Aberdeen is no longer listed. Was this map nerfed?

FH2 Help / Support / New computer trouble
« on: 24-02-2016, 22:02:10 »
I just buy a new computer and a new monitor.  The monitor has a max resolution of 1920x1080.  If I play FH2 at this resolution, the menu screen, text, and in game mini map are distorted, but the game itself looks beautiful.  Has anyone had this issue?  Is there a way to clean this up?

4) Is there a reason the German's don't have panzerfausts on Operation Cobra?

1) I see on Pointe du Hoc that the entire left cliff edge is out of bounds.  Is there a reason for this?  It seems like it would be useful to the allies to be able to move along that edge so they aren't bottle necked near the bunker.

2) This is a personal pet peeve of mine, but since in reality it is possible to clear a partially expended M1 Garand clip, how difficult would it be to add this feature?

3) You probably have heard this already, but I think Sammatus is in need of some Russian Artillery.  I don't think the Finnish even feel the pressure on that map.

I like all the new maps, but I think Sammatus needs artillery for the Russians.

There are no definitive long term plans beyond BF2, but things are being tried out and discussed. It is not impossible that one day there is an FH3 (maybe as a commercial game), but it is not the safest bet you can make.
Short term we are in the process of eliminating last bugs from the Eastern Front content. Once this is done, we will release Forgotten Hope 2.5 through the launcher you all already have on your PC. We want this release to be as professional and bug free as possible, which is why this last polishing stage is taking longer than expected. Beyond 2.5 there are several new maps already in production (including new Russian, German and Finnish content not in 2.5), as well as plans for new fixes etc, which we hope we will be able to release relatively shortly after 2.5, no promises though.
As for what we get out of this: The satisfaction one gets out of a creative hobby and seeing people enjoy something you worked on. Or, if that doesn't work, the tears of people who think our tanks are coded wrong ;)

Thank you for the reply.  The Forgotten Hope modifications definitely set the bar for what I consider to be a great WW2 games.  When you play these games, you feel like you are actually stepping onto WW2 battlefields.

It is good to see some familiar names from the FH1 days.

General Discussion / Future of FH
« on: 26-01-2016, 18:01:06 »
Hi,

I used to play quite a bit of Forgotten Hope several years ago, and have just started playing Forgotten Hope 2 in earnest.  I was hoping the FH Mod team could provide insight into where they envision FH going in the future.  With EA Games all but abandoning 1942 and BF2, do you have plans to expand to another platform?  You have put so much work into these MODs, so I have to wonder what you are getting out of your effort?
