Since the Forgotten Hope 2 servers tend to die out around 7:00 PM East Coast time, I’ve started playing WW2 Online in the evenings. While it is considerably more clunky than FH2 (it is far from its heyday), I have to say that I’ve been enjoying it. Aside from the fact that the map is massive (1/2 scale of Europe), the game play is completely team objective oriented. While you do gain rank in the game, they do not track KDR (as far as I know), and the result is refreshing. Accomplishing objectives is the focus of the team and in game chat is very positive. The other thing they don’t allow it cross-chat between armies.
I have come to believe that tracking KDRs negatively affect game-play, because it encourages people to focus on themselves rather than the team. While I try to ignore my KDR, the fact that other people care so much about theirs makes me focus on it more than I would care too. If I could ask one thing of the 762 server, it would be to stop tracking KDR.
