No, because flamethrowers do not explode when shot.  It simply does not work that way.

A bullet will just cause (if it does burst the tank) the pressurized gas to expand  and knock the guys froward or in any other direction for that matter.
None of that Hollywood propane crap.

Use an Nvidia Graphics card with certain drivers.  It's actually a bug.

Do you have any idea how many idiots I've had to argue with saying that they explode when shot? "the tanks explodes when you shoot it! It happens in world at war!"    God help those soulless filthy creatures who dont know how to research things or use google

I've had a look that this video. It shows how to aim with the flamethrower, but clearly not how to use it wisely. That guy is just building fire walls and wastes incredible amounts of fuel for few kills.

I would recommend very short and well aimed bursts to spare fuel and also to not prevent your teammates from advancing where you fired.  ;)

Heh, I'd like to comment on a few things mentioned about my vid, first, I am not some master player at FH2, I just like to make videos that have some of the good MOMENTS that I get when playing, so I'm sorry if I don't know every tip and trick there is to this game, like the embarrassing artillery misundestanding I had earlier of which Ionizer spoke about and why I wanted to reupload the vid. But anyway, I gotta say that the flamethrower is an insanely fun weapon to use, and while some idiots tend to run into the flames and cause you teamkills, it's not annoying enough to stop me from loving that weapon =)

Heheh, sure Flippy. I decided to join this forum because I think FH2 is a great mod, and wish to support it by making my own little "propaganda" videos for it, of which more will come soon =)

And if the fuel gets ignited some way, it will just burn, not explode.

You know that flamethrower does have a silly 'throw' it looks more like a Magician from WoW spelling fireballls.

The most ridiculous thing is that the flames can actually ark and indeed come in 'pops' of fire not a solid stream. Hope they rework that one..

It's a solid arc of burning jellied gasoline as it should be. I don't think it's even possible to create more realistic looking flame effect with the BF2 engine. :I
