Fun Project

I was sitting here last night and I had an interesting Idea. In my possession were two pairs of headphones, both old, both rather useless to me. One was a pair of noise canceling stereo head-phones, the other was a standard 3.5 mm jack set of headphones, and I thought...why not make the best of the two and combine them?

I started by ripping the guts out of both, saving the 3.5mm jack phone assembly, and ripping out the phone assembly from within the stereo set and tossing them away. After some tape, glue, and a few hours of frustration with the rubber covers, I had my 3.5mm jack noise canceling head-phones, free of charge! And they work great!

I just wonder if I could do this with a set of Ear Muffs for shooting. 120 db silence anybody?

How did you fix the headphones inside the ear cover? Just taped them in as well?
Anyway nice idea. I myself was a cheapskate and bought these for 20€. :)
