That would be very nice indeed.
How come there hasn't been any notice of this?

I'm going to slap you right here Viking....

Anyhow, you might have noticed the various threads about this and yes there are more important things going down atm.

Disarming mines is a good idea. (Old tho) But also when the kit comes available, smines could be more visible so they can even find mines.

AP mines are visible enough as it is - gotta be careful where you step. A mine removing feature for scout would indeed bring more depth and usefulness to this class as most engineers are driving their tanks around.

Yep, I agree that mines are quite visible but it has always frustrated me when someone would place them on some sort of a staircase and then, even by crawling beside them, you would detonate them because there isn't any alternative.

well thats cause almost everyone thinks that s-mines are detonated when someone stands or crouches near them... which isnt as the case as it takes movement to detonate them

which means you can always get past an smine no matter where it is placed
I do bad things to the BF2 engine.

I'm pretty sure you can't crawl directly over smine.

Would it be codable to make S mines blow up when you shoot at them?

Well what the fuck. I just tried out and seems I can. I'm just puzzled that why the hell I have died dozens of times to smines while trying to crawl past them!  :o

Edit: Seems just weird that I have played FH2 for so many years and died on so many mines that I thought I know how they work. Was it changed at some point and I never noticed?

i cant remember it ever being different... its just that nobody knows!

the same way that no one knows you can drive any vehicle through a minefield if you go real slow... (although i think that ones a bug cause once you drive over them real slow they still show the explosion but without any actual damag...)

Any alterations in height trigger the mines even when you try to crawl. Also, ragdolls trigger them. And walking 10 m to the side of them.
