Because quite a lot of the squad leaders in this game don't care at al what there squad does.  In fact, there has been many a time where the squad leader grabs a spotter plane of an artillery piece rather than, well, leading his squad!

i do that ussually , but just because i cant do anything else . In PR when i am the SL i say "hello, guys we are gonna do this and this "" , and ussually 4 of 5 follow the orders . when i do that in FH2 , im lucky if somebody says "what?" in voip .

thats ussually the moment when i say "screw this" , grab a tank and just go to my own . it just dosent worth the effort .

And as people always forget, the riflemen who trained with these rifles trained at 600 yards for an average shot.  Hell, to this DAY, marines are all trained to hit human sized stationary targets at 600 yards.  Now imagine a rifle firing an actual full rifle round, not the puny .223 rounds we use today.  300-400 yards was point blank for these things, 600 easy, and 1000 was easily hittable by an average shooter.

now im meters plz.
