Our government arrests you of they think you might go do that. So does the Turkish government if we try to. Kinda hard to get there without some fundamentalist Muslim friends.

But dozens of Belgian muslims, including native belgians, all got talked into going there, sending fundamentalist letters to there parents calling them unreligious pigs and blasphemers
They go fight in syria
One day the conflict will be over......And they come back with the same extremist ideas...
Yet this time they have COMBAT experience

Not sure what is the best to do. When the rumors are true that chemical weapons in Syria have been used against the own population, killing up to 100.000 people, then the tolerance should stop. Right now it seems pretty likely and I personally would not wonder at all.
When now the attacks on Turkey continue, then I doubt the situation will stay stable and it might even be better to intervene and bring this to an end.
On the short term more people will die, but there is a possibility that an intervention can limit the long term effects and therefore maybe save lifes, although I don't expect the situation in Syria to be stable the next decades. It's too late for that, the fronts are hardened and fights for power in the country will come, not to forget the religious tensions and the presence of al-Qaeda and similar extremists, which might become a problem for Israel.
Whatever happens, Syria won't have a good future I guess and the whole region is a giant powderkeg.

That is the interesting fact about this. Instead of attacking Infidels, they started fighting each other in interreligious wars. Shiites vs Sunnites. Just like Protestans and Catholics fought each other in europe for 200 years. How long they will fight this time until their wars will be a part in the book of history?

Assad can't use them or the US has an excuse to invade and help out the taliban. USA just wants to repeat Afghanistan: "Hey, how about helping this nice fella Osama bin Laden? He looks nice and wants to help fighting the communists, sure he'll like us after we give him weapons and money". USA now: "Hey look, Al-quaida, Jihadist extremists and Taliban are fighting the evil Assad in Syria, how about we fun them and give them some weapons? Sure they'll love us, as a sign of love towards us they already burn our flags in the street to show us they welcome us with a warm heart. Sure they are evil radicals that use chemical weapons, but hey, they are fighting Assad, totally fine then, no? Let's do it"

What i read is that US is trying to convince the public opinion to send weapons and financial resources to the rebels, which bounces on resistance since us has such financial problems itself.
