AFAIK, for a long time now, there has been a problem with ATI graphic cards, where the suppression effects just won't work.

It is also occuring on Nvidia graphic cards. If I remember correctly the suppression shaders stopped working when the 2.4 version was released.
Back on topic: The M3 variants are simply looking great! Great job. I really can't wait to use the 75mm cannon version. I think that in real life this vehicle would have had some serious issues with recoil or was it fired only from a parked position? (with chocks placed behind wheels)

YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! WOOOHHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
What a way to start a Tuesday morning! Thanks for the great news!
Aw shucks...Looks like the map screenshots you used to display during past updates were never of a "Test Map" but always of Sidi Bou Zid  :D Map looks absolutely realistic. Love the new cactus vegitation. Absolutely gorgeous! Great job devs and beta-testers. Looking forward for the 2.45 Teaser trailer (Go Kubador!) and obviously playing the game on Friday!  ;D

General Discussion / Re: FH2 New Release Rituals

I normally
a) download the torrent as soon as it is released (probably use my work PCs to download and seed as much as possible)
b) The lllooooooonnnnggggggg wait for the password.
c) password released! Install cursing at the slow processor speed! GO FASTER you damn slow machine!!!
d) Prior to 2.4 I used to check out maps on a local server. FH2 scenery comes first! : ).
When 2.4 came out I threw myself into the fray and was completely overwhelmed with the awesome changes.
I remember playing Eppeldorf, grabbed a jeep from the US base and pedal to the metal. Someone from the tree line started shooting and lo and behold the first experience of the new wounded shader! PANICC - Fuck fuck where's the bandage!!!...too later...my first 2.4 death! Noooooooo! :)
e) 2.45 will surely get the same treatment as 2.4!! Multiplayer Mayhem!

This post brought up so many good memories of me and my friends playing split screen: I can name a couple of old classics...I'm sure if you run dosbox you can run these games on any modern Pc. Also check out this link: http://www.abandonia.com/en/game/all

Split screen / Turn-based games:
Micromachines (racing)
SuperKarts
Lemmings 3D
Carmageddon
Street fighter
Mortal Kombat

Last but not least Gorilla Bas!

I've always loved FH2 mainly for its looks! I play on almost max settings and will never change!
(I'm constantly trying to coax my ageing machine to get the last few bars (terrain, lighting and shadows) to go to max!

Great looking player models! Love the details! The one carrying the M1carbine reminds me Neal McDonough (BOB - 1st Lt Lynn 'Buck' Compton)   :) Thanks for another awesome update!

Wow! A couple of days ago after reading the King of the Hill mode post I started thinking that it might be good idea that Fh2 devs re-introduce 'Capture the flag' or 'Gold rush' modes once again.....lo and behold came this new post.
Hyacinth looks absolutely gorgeous with the new night lighting. Have managed to play this map in objective mode only a couple of times in the past and it was always great...especially if you were in a good teamplay oriented squad.
Anctoville: Since it was introduced I've always loved this map mainly because of the rain and gloom & doom looks. The new play modes will make it far more interesting. One question: How will the British Engineers destroy the wall and gates?...simply by throwing grenades/satchel charges or does one need a special kit? (PDH Engi. Kit)? Thanks Ts4Ever!
Finally the new tanks look fantastic!
All in all a GREAATT update! Excellent job devs!!

Great new addition to the vehicle list!
BTW is that a test map you are showing once again in the screenshots?

Awesome pictures! Love the new night skyboxes. The tune Silent night popped into my head while looking at the pics of Eppeldorf.  ;D
