Off-Topic / WWII Small Arms

I found this page on Face Book and I found it very interesting.  Shows several WWII small arms from multiple countries all in one place.

A few examples.

General Discussion / What stops bullets?
« on: 01-03-2016, 00:03:46 »
The other day I was watching some old war training films and had been shoot some of my old rifles.  I noticed that bullets can actually penetrate quite a bit.  I was curious what items; trees, fences, buildings, etc. stop bullets in FH2?  I know they strive to be as historically actuate as possible I was just curious as to what would actually provide cover in game and what wouldn't.  I realize I could test this my self by just standing behind different thing and letting people shoot at me, but I figured this would be faster.

Will the maxim guns have a deployable kit version in the future?

Miss being able to spin around with the 30 cal but thats minor.  So for 2.5(1) is great.

I like the majority of the changes made.  I do have a question about the mines.  Would it be possible to create a pick up kit with more mines, but exclude the binoculars and the smoke?  My thinking is that the scout kit gets one so that guy can defend himself.  The pickup kit would represent a group of soldiers deployed to booby trap and defend a certain area.  The kit would start with 3 mines, rifle (or maybe SMG), bayonet/knife and med kit.

Is this still a thing?  Haven't played in forever.

Why was the scout kit nerfed?  Only one mine now?  :(  And no more sticking to walls?  That was part of the fun, in real life soldiers made traps, can't do that in FH2 so that was as close as you could get.

Very cool!

Nice models!  According to this website http://www.militaryfactory.com/armor/detail.asp?armor_id=390 the ks-18 (the replacement for the m1939) was a dual purpose gun. It also says "the m1944 retained full anti-tank capabilities as well as being an anti-aircraft weapon. For this role, the crew could switch to an anti-tank projectile."
Theres also this section from the book Kursk 1943: The Northern Front https://books.google.com/books?id=i34OBAAAQBAJ&pg=PA30&lpg=PA30&dq=was+the+m1939+used+as+an+anti+tank+gun&source=bl&ots=T0X7RHOBQR&sig=dsAw1Ik2uJSYEeJDZ3hx-Zmsbr0&hl=en&sa=X&ei=v1IwVcW-OOzIsATYlYDwDg&ved=0CFcQ6AEwCQ#v=onepage&q=was%20the%20m1939%20used%20as%20an%20anti%20tank%20gun&f=false
Stating "each tank corps was provided with a battalion of 12 towed 85mm M1939 anti-aircraft guns to be used as expedient anti-tank guns."
So it sounds like it was possible to use the 85's as AT guns, but I'm not sure how common it was.  It would still be pretty cool to have as it would a threat to Germanys heavy tanks.

Yes but they are making late Eastern front not the beginning so there is no need for these.
I think you misread my post they STARTED in 1942 but were used until the END of the war, so these would be fine for late war eastern front maps.
