Hey! I said I'd love to have all of that too, and I think most of your suggestions are great! I just said it isn't probably to happen... Seeing as the devs try to make everyone happy, by making a fun game, open to a wide(r) audience

I did! On Luttich IIRC... Stayed in my memory as I got stuck in a ditch with it... they were hard to drive...
Lüttich is an FH2 map... without any ditches.

Hmm it must have been in one of the Pixel-fighter's map packs then...

There is a way for almost everything you mentioned there, but the real question is "Do the devs really want FH2 to be as real as possible?"

...Cause it seems to me that they kinda don't... They focus heavily on historic accuracy of the maps, equipment, and the looks of everything but I somehow don't believe they want this game to become ultra-realistic with the need of distinctive WWII knowledge to play effectively....

It seems to me they just want it to stay how it is, a somewhat casual WWII experience with shiny graphics and polished maps.


Now don't get me wrong I would like to have everything you said, but it's probably not gonna happen.

It seems to me that FH1 is still played because of its superb quality as well pixel-fighter's mapping team hard work in creating new maps and expanding the mod's possibilities not because of some "fancy stat system"... Although there are probably people who play for stats (like a few guys who like to sit at the artillery and shell the crap out of the enemy, thus getting 70 - 100 kills in a round of, Ramelle for example)


On topic: yeah an award system with achievements would be a nice addition to the mod

Well now that we got an announcement of the Eastern Front I believe it's time to reconsider adding horses in FH2 someday...

BTW can we also get camels in FH2? I believe they were in FH1 although they were not exactly rideable... they just flipped over when you tried to ride them...  ;D


And yes horses can be really useful on the battlefield! They are useful for scouting, fast movement to strategic points, and hell I have even managed to capture a Jagdpanther with a horse in FHSW  :P

SL who abuse of the ability of making people spawn at him like in a bunker or a church... They simply broke all the gameplay and fun of the game... just because of one or 2 guys who do that I would like to disable the SL, they simply broke all kind of fun.

Calm down, it's lame but it's actually the only tactic which works on some maps...  The other team just needs some teamwork to clear the church or bunker (flamethrower anyone?  ;))

IIRC, it would work the same way as in BF2, you'd have to get them repaired.

You're right that sounds better... but how do we repair Naval guns support? I suppose it could be disabled on those maps...

 Ah well off to the devs to decide if they need this...

Its perfectly feasible, its just a question of if the devs want to make the heavy artillery models for it, and set it up.

Well he's not talking about the models, just resetting the commander's timer... I believe you don't need models for that... unless you wanna make it more "realistic"

I don't know I kinda like it... would be a bit more interesting for the commanders to try and outsmart each other... but could also turn into a "whoever manages to click the button faster wins"

When there is like 0 coordination in your team and after a few minutes you find yourself getting spawnkilled in your main...

Also people who charge a MG nest without smoke cover...

Mountable MGs? Hell yes, we need those! The current MGs have a very limited use as they can be fired effectively only from a few places....
