Title: Alt Tab broken?

Before the last patch alt tabbing out of game worked fine with no problems, but since the latest update i lose all hud options after returning to game from alt tabbing to desktop. How do i fix this without having to restart the entire game over again?

Never had that problem.

Do you play full screen or +fullscreen 0 / window mode ?

Probably something related to a new graphic card driver update from your part ?

Wasnt there an alt tab problem with the vanilla bf2 patches? i think there are fixes for this. Look for "alt tab fix bf2"

fullscreen, yeah i tried that hotfix today too, didnt help though. its strange ill alt tab out just fine, but when im back in game all my minimap and hud features are not there. I have to restart the entire game to fix it back. Never had any problems previously like this and havent changed anything recently either. oh well, ill just not alt tab when playing, thanks.

Sounds like weird problem. Maybe it is something about graphic settings? Have you tried to use lower graphic settings? Sometimes the Refractor-engine fucks up in the weirdest places.

AFAIK is common win8 problem. At least that I was told when I last played in the tourney and had that.

I have Win8 and what I do is press Esc so I get to menu and then Alt+Tab. Never had problems. If I don't do Esc first, I looose the mouse, which I don't like ;)

i5-3330 CPU @ 3.0GHz (4 CPUs)
RAM 8.00 GB
win 8.1
Nvidia GForce GTX 650 2048MB

i have not updated any drivers manually, not sure about any auto updates as i usually try to avoid that.
esc to menu before alt tab doesnt work either.

How does windowed mode work out for you?

When I've trouble alt-tabbing with something I set it to windowed and use this pseudo-fullscreen .ahk script, sets the window resolution and moves it all the way to 0,0.

Had this problem some time ago in both win xp and win 7 after updating nvidia driver.
Rolling back to version 347.09 fixed it for me.
Also overclocking gfx card gpu or memory too much can also cause this
