This gotta be racist for common liberal Americans when they are directed at minorities in US. But apparently, it is not elsewhere:
http://www.amazon.com/Bule-Gila-Tales-Barman-Jakarta/dp/9793780045(bule gila (BU-leh GEE-lah) n Indonesian for "crazy foreigner") - correction, bule is more like a slightly ameliorative for "albino" or typically refers to white foreigners (especially Dutch people and their European fellows). But it seems many Dutch people see the humorous side of this racism comedy.
One of them even host their own shows:
Basically it shows typical white man competing by doing the best in ordinary poor people job (some are illegal, but the authority seemed to don't mind) in some 3rd world country, thus debasing all stereotypes of "1st and 2nd world people." They can come from any region in the world living in Jakarta for many reasons, but mostly they show Dutch (of course), Scottish, Poles, and Australian.
You'll get surprised when locals on the show was like "OMG, i've being served food by a foreigner!" Nothing new for most of you really, Americans being served by immigrants. But here it is like the other way around. If we were Mexicans, it feels like 2008 Rep presidential candidate Ron Paul going to Mexico City and selling street-side Tacos to passerby. Or Europeans, PM Vladimir Putin going to Beirut and running his own Falafel kiosk. Yeah... 'that level' of weirdness i suppose.
