Disabling SL spawn when team has no flags
« on: 10-04-2009, 19:04:15 »
Right now players can't spawn on their SLs if their team controls no flag.

Is this behavior hardcoded, or it is controlled by python or BF2 coding?

In other words, is there any way to modify/remove it?

The question is whether it is intended to remove it?
I image it would become close to impossible to ever cap all flags and win, because you always have some SL sitting around quite beneath the ass of the world...

Well, game end and winner is actually determined by a python script, so a modder can set whatever victory conditions he wants

Thus he could devise a set victory conditions completely unrelated to flags or even ticket numbers.

A silly example, but there were some FH1-derived maps intended for a very similar gameplay: first jeep which completes 5 laps with at least 2 players on it wins the round.

So you shouldn't consider my question in the context of a standard unmodded game, it's more of a "does BF2 allow any changes to its vanilla behavior on this matter?"

you can make a trick. if you want that. you have to add a Dummy flag.
