I will model a special cage which I will build over each and every person who votes 'yes' on this one.

I will code a tactical nuke airstrike that spawns and strikes the person in the head as soon as he joins the server with an EA profile linked to the same email as to these forum profiles who voted Yes.

I think for minor things in different cases for each map.

1. A small sandbag thing for most maps.
2. A trenchline (Needs to mess with meshes somehow) for Brits in the NA desert
3. A foxhole (Same thing), also map specific - Like in the Bulge
4. Using plungers and detoners with xpack could come under this catergory.
5. As could a sniper tree stop for any tree - It would no longer rely on the tree being a vehicle, but the ability to position it, although I foresee this failing due to an ability to dump it ANYWHERE
6. Barbed wiring and ability to cut through THOSE barbed wires.
7. The variety of mines the Germans had, and the Japanese use of artillery for IEDs. The kind that could blow up a tank in one and even toss it over.

What would restrict building stuff in stupid locations is
1. They can ALL be destroyed
2. They take a long time, and you will be sniped doing that close to the enemy

But ability to do so will definitely make even more dynamic gameplay imo.

A grand idea to be sure, but development is so slow due to low dev assets that any additional expansions would take away from the current developmental plan.....

For god sakes, let these guys get us to Russia before 2015

sounds like devs are just stubborn and unable to think out of the box when they go hey cage around you for voting yes with out and explanation of why they would prefer not to have it.

So non-movable static defenses stay useless and can be killed by 1000 meters distance because everyone knows where they are. Good stuff.

So how comes you implemented the deployable laffette and the deployable mortar? Aren't they exactly the same thing?

do a search. It's been explained ~20 times why this is not needed in our mod... Out of the box? lol

no one ever killed anyone on 1000meters in FH2, and the static defenses cant be destroyed. They're static... If you're talking about stationary weapons, that's not the topic of discussion. We already have moveable weapons.

No, weapons and objects arent the same thing... pop out a sandbag with a lafette on it? come on  ::)

"This is a marvellous idea and I will bleat on ad nauseum because the devs have said NO without good reason"  ::)

Seriously guys, can you not figure out why this has been shit-tinned?  If not, its about time you started your own mod and learned the hard way.

Or are you too busy stroking the e-peen and just arguing to take sides regardless?

Well no PR style but I would like to see deployable 88 and AA guns so that those wouldn't get pixelshot all the time.

Like a truck with 88 parts and when it fires those parts disappear like bombs on jets and broken 88 appears behind it then you need to repair it with wrench. That truck could not be resupplied.

The 88 would have PR style "pedestal" so it would stay on the ground in good position.

Same thing could be done with Bedford and Bofors.

I voted yes. [ please don't kill me!] Yet granted I voted for non P.R. style.
I'm OK with little things like sand bags , machine gun nests , fox holes etc but i do not support spawn-able
anti tank guns.Image. The map is rammelle.
The Germans move out and capture the first position, then the next.
Seconds before they reach the church an lone American recon solder spots them.
Suddenly 30 howitzer shells and a mortar shell crash down on German positions.
Germans re-spawning die due to the DAM GROUND SHAKING!
This is why this must be controlled.

well, you could tie it to suplie trucks, so only if you have a suplie truck at least at 2 meters, you can place them. and only one per truck.
