I play HB only these days, before played arcade but then turned into HB. The flight model in arcade is so simple that BnZ, rope'a'dope and many other tactics unusable and fights mainly centers upon turnfighting. Also no high altitude fights and same boring missions all over again, HB also gives more exp and credits as far as you can play and you can lose only one plane at time so all my planes are getting auto repaired.

Never back to arcade. German get bit shafted though against american with the underpowered MG151 currently in bulge but eventually it'll get fixed. Also LA-5FN is even more OP in HB as is most non flight modeled planes. German planes without flight models under perform though.

I do not see any difference in graphics, units are still fairly low res to me and only ground textures look better...

Windows 7 support and multiplayer is nice though.

Loved that game back then with friends on LAN, someone made a map(scenario sort of) and then rest of us played it. Was fun though the only valid tactic to win was who spams fastest.

FF cannons do more damage in-game than MG151s. Hopefully MG151s will get fixed soon.

Then you just need more training, your sight ain't the best or you just can't relax your eyes well (look at the horizon for awhile and never focus on your target for more than 5 seconds) if you can't hit at 300 meters with iron sights. I can (well could) hit 10 rounds on around 40 cm diameter target with ironsights from 300 meters without much trouble if I have all the time in the world (and I ain't anything special) of course the sight is about the same size as the target but you'll aim the target in middle of the bead.

Using ironsights is hard especially if after you have used red dot or optics. Shooting both eyes open is much harder than with optics as you easily focus on some other shit at first but learning that watching the horizon for few seconds then focusing on bead for few seconds and taking the shot. Focusing longer and it's hard to see the target again, with red dot you can just watch trough it all day long. Easy but not as accurate.

Also do NOT focus on target but on the bead. Don't know how wide the bead on M4 really is but I know it lacks the double-pull that would probably make me miss a lot with it anyways.

Red dot sight ain't them same as optics, of course you can hit with optics better than irons. Still Red dot ain't as accurate and I can tell that from experience after firing thousands and thousands of rounds with RK-95 and PKM.

Red dot "moves" in the sight (or how ever you want to put it) to always stay in the same spot but it isn't flawless it does move a bit and the dot you also NEVER can put the red dot perfectly on your rifle. Sorry but you are totally wrong ironsights are always the most accurate sights end of story. If you had the eyes of a hawk iron sights would be even more accurate than optics.

if you can't align iron sights you can't shoot, red dot sight is easier to use but in shooting range it never is as accurate as iron sights. People just can't shoot.

Ironsight are far better at hitting targets beyond 300 meters than red dot sight. Red dot is much easier to use but when you learn to use iron sights and relax your eyes it's MUCH more accurate. Red dot has the advantage of easy to use and it's fast when aiming up close. Still if I had to make my top score on shooting range I'd take ironsights any day.

German twin engine fighters are crap ME-410 is even more fragile than BF110 and is going to get even worse in future patches. Actually everything in German line is inferior until tier 6 BF109E. And even then German guns (MG151, mk108, stuka 37mm) are inferior to their allied counterparts for some unknown reason even though they were more powerful IRL (faster velocity and more explosives).

In Historical battles though BF109F and onward shine with their rope-a-dope capabilities and FW190s are awesome with their boom'n'zoom tactics. And will become even better when Russian planes and few US planes get nerfed with real flight models. In arcade though playing Germans is not advised unless you don't mind getting shafted by simplified physics.

It might actually tun out well now this time if they actually make it realistic and do not add unrealistic stuff like deviation where you can hit a shit and all other stuff that slow down the gameplay in unrealistic way.

Though all that might be because of the limitations of BF2 engine.

Looks really nice, if it's going to be on sale I will sure buy it. Most of the flaws have probably been fixed by now.

For a free update this looks spectacular, just likes in the old days of PC gaming when patches actually added new stuff.

Dishonored. Different, good story, felt quite like Bioshock felt when it came out.

Skyrim (use mods like Sky UI to get better menus), can't get enough of it, have played it like 200+ hours. :-X

Now I am currently hooked into War Thunder. Looks good, plays good and it's free.

But it's console, look at the PS3 specs they suck for a computer yet the games like uncharted 3 look beautiful. Now imagine what PS4 games will look like as everything can be optimized and most importantly game industry can finally evolve and PC games will also start to look miles better as consoles won't hold the back.

Compare Resistance 1 to Resistance 3, imagine what PS4 games will look like in 2 years 8).

Germans where the first ones to paint jaws on their planes (BF110, Stukas).

American P-40 followed the trend.

Shot Ki-200 down with He-51. Few shots head on and it blazed in flames and booyaa! Hercules!

Other than that Yak-9T is totally OP as is LA-5.
