Before we start, i want to get something explained first
-This is for discussing about a FUTURE eastfront in FH2. It is not to request one/fuel the fire/push the devs/tease Flippy
Now.
The reason why i am making this thread, is that i recently became intrested about the Eastren front. Mostly the Russian army and its equipment. So
Feel free to bring it out.
-What do you want to see in an Eastren front?
-What are your hopes on one?
-Do you wanna see an early or a late, or both released together?
-If the FH2 devs stated today=We are gonna make an Eastren front, what questions would you wanna ask?
and so on and so on
Personaly, i hope we see as much as possible. The eastfront was an large divided front with many armies, equipment, tactics......and men.
While the soviets had quanity as their main ace, they also had diversity.
Example's lie in the artillery.
In the anti-tank role, they had the M1937/M1942 45MM anti tank gun, the Zis-2 57MM anti-tank gun, the Zis-3 Anti-tank/divisional field gun and the latewar BS-3 100MM gun
In the AA region, the 25MM air defense gun, the famous 3.7CM M1939 and the 76 + 85MM Dual purpose gun's.All of these above, where avaible in huge quanitities. So imo, this deserves all of these above to be added.
But let us take tanks
Their you have the T-34,T-70,T-26, KV,BT and IS series
Those where the main russian tanks, for the entire war. Not really much if you look at germany for example.
But then come's the Self-proppeled guns
The tank destroyers SU-85 and SU100.The Self-propelled guns Su-76,SU122,Su152,ISU 122 and ISU 152. Once again great diversity.
And this is only tanks+AA/AT+Self-proppeled guns!
So my hopes is to see all of the above in an eastfront! Well expanded ofcourse. I know, this is ALOT of work,and if i could map, i'de gladly help out. But insufficient Patience+PC knownledge

These are my hopes/wishlist for an eastren front
and if i had a question, i would ask
-Will T-34's/KV-1's come with their year models?
A T-34 built in 1940 was diffrent then a 1943 Model. Armor, layout and such all where improved per year(A T-34 in 1940 had 60MM armor, but a 1944 model had 90MM)
Same goes for the KV-1. A early 1940 model had 90MM of armor, but a 1941 model had a monstorous 110MM.
And i rather see an early one first, then a late. The early one would be from the invasion in 1941, to the end of stalinggrad around begin 1943. While a late one would start at the Battle of Kursk, and would end up to the streets of Berlin
I hope to see some nice mature discussions here.
