Note that this is not an indication of map quality. You will also notice that most 1:1 maps are in western Europe: This is because the heavily built up landscape and especially the Normandy hedgerow country best lend themselves to being turned into a video game map directly. In Africa and Eastern Europe the distances between points of interest become so huge, that it is very hard to properly remake them.
For instance, if you ever thought that Dukla was an open hellscape, remind yourself that it is scaled down by half
