On Reddit someone bet 5,000 euro on Portugal beating Iceland  ;D
Sadly I can't watch Euro matches here, must have DirecTV or some shit like that. It's a shame, Euros are like World Cups without Argentina and Brasil...

About the Copa América, it has to be ours. Uruguay is out, Brasil sucks and is also out, Colombia is nothing too-convincing (We destroyed them last time we faced them in Copa America), Chile is not great either, the rest should collapse when Messi is 100% ready.

If we lose it, we shall never win a title ever again.

I'm kind of excited for the USA-Argentina match if you beat Venezuela.

I'm a bit shocked by the amount of violence in France at this EC. After the clashes between fans in the cities, there have been several fights inside stadiums too now. Russians vs English, and today Croatians vs Czech fans. There was even some fireworks including an exploding one. I thought France was at 200% security level for terrorism, but apparently they are forgetting about the hooligans or something.

Fortunately there are still fans who can just have fun and party.

The English and Welsh fans! They both sung the national anthem "God Save The Queen" near 80th minute together.

The English was rather notorious for their hooliganism, but the Irish and the Welsh are the nices people I've ever known.

I don't think so mate!  :D Welsh fans would never sing GSTQ, it was more a case of  them singing Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau to raise spirits as a 12th man, and the English responded with their GSTQ ;)

Is this the final where they beat the English?  ;D

I know that Scots would preferred Scotland the Brave, but I don't know that Welsh are as much into that. So, "Land of My Father", a great hymn.

BTW, your name was Captain Cymru, wasn't it? Why put off the Wales Gallic name?

I found out that there's only one channel here that would broadcast the Euro, that is owned by the City's Government but will only broadcast just one match per day.

I was able to watch bits from the Portugal-Austria match, that sucks for CR7, it seems that without Bale he is abosolutely nothing, what a disappointment.

On America, we beat Venezuela 4-1, Higuain scored twice, Messi scored and Lamela scored too. Messi is now the top goalscorer in the National Team along with that beast known by the name of Gabriel Batistuta, 54.

So that means we're facing the US in the semifinals, on the other side, Chile destroyed Mexico 7-0 which was unexpected, and now they're facing Colombia, who barely won against Perú from the penalty spot (Their GK, Ospina, commited several fouls on the penalty rounds...).

We should get the US out of the way and destroy Chile on the finals, we need our sweet revenge.

I'm late,but,whatever.

That Brazil x Peru match. I didn't have high expectations on Brazil at all,but the "La Mano de Díos" remake was,at least, outrageous. Not that Brazil would beat Peru if that didn't happen, but Ruidias deserved a red card for that.

Chile x Mexico was expected to be an even match, with a few goals, maybe from both sides. Instead,Chile mauled Mexico in front of thousands of appalled mexican supporters. There was a report of people calling La Roja "Chilemanha" (Chilermany).

Argentina is doing very well, specially Messi. I remember well that not long ago, when Messi was with Argentina,he couldn't play 10% of his football as when he was at Barcelona.

Trying to watch the Euro, but the matches are happening at schedules that I'm busy. Fortunately, there's a channel (not paid) here that is broadcasting all the matches (or almost all) and is not unusual to see a bar or a bakery with a TV on,so I can have a glance at the matches.

They also successfully emptied most of the french brewery tanks in Lille in a record time !

The new setup of Euro Championship makes it almost impossible to NOT qualify for 1/8 finals. In the tournament there is now a strong and a weak side, with Spain, France, England, Germany and Italy all being on one side so only one of those can reach the final.

I am largely disappointed by Italy's performance. The match against the Sweden could be the most boring game of the tournament.

Spain, Germany, and France are the only teams that has been making strong and solid show throughout their games. Too bad for the smaller teams that display such bravery. Last night, the Northern Ireland was very brave and put up quite a fight.

Christ, that goal could be seen a million times and it will still be amazing. Argentina dominated the US from the very start, since 3' after the game started we scored with Lavezzi, thanks to a brilliant pass by Messi.

The US was really lost, they couldn't mount any effective attack, players like Bradley were totally overwhelmed.

But 30 years ago, this happened:

It is said that the first goal, the famous "Hand of God" is worth nothing, because of being illegal, but we all agree the second one is so amazing, that it should be worth two goals instead of one.
