I see your point but its frustrating to see people run back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Never defending any flag while the rest of the team moves up. Cagny in Goodwood being a prime example. That can get the better of me sometimes. You see plenty of action defending but people just move on the second it's captured. Ten minutes later you are surrounded and people are shouting: Get a flag.

Indeed, the intro music is very dark and fitting. Much like PHL, but I know that's a Battlefield tune, this isn't right? Wonderful map for sure :D

Sounds like fun, unfortunately, on the 79th server every new map/round the squads fall apart :-\

Hslan's server is set up to keep the squads together over the rounds, I'd say a must for this kind of event. Also, the 79th punish system is sometimes gratifying I must admit  ;D, but ultimately just creates flames. HSLAN has been fun and orderly for years. They've got my vote 8)
Totaly wrong man.
79th server does not spread players for new rounds/maps. You are talking about another server. :P


OK choose any server you prefer.
Just contact me by PM if you want to book the 79th server. ;)

Keep posting experiences lads.

I went straight for switching off EAX and saved my profile. I didn't bother to switch EAX back on and went ingame. All seems to be back to normal...

Yep, it sucks alright. Changing and saving profile settings didnt help.

Do we have to wait for a /cough hotfix or six months for a new patch? I can't imagine this 'slipping through' so is this just on our end? In any case, some more FEEDBACK would be nice. How can we fix this.

I didn't notice any changes in my profile and/or settings, but I'll try switching some things back and forth, and saving my profile a couple of times. I guess that's what does the trick, not so much changing some settings.

It really sucks hearing chaos around me, while there's no-one around, unplayable. Will give it a try tonight.

Indeed, I'm hearing lots of sounds right next to me, when in fact they're miles away. Grenades especially, but No.4's too, MP40's, the list goes on. Flippy stated 'It's ambient sound', and I thought he meant more sounds just got a 'distant version'. Alas.

I was way north of the flak batteries on Totalize, close to the maps edge, and heard lots of nades, deaths and shots around me. I was there for quite a while. There was nobody near me. Can I do something about it myself? Or do we have to wait for a fix, because I can't play like this  ??? Strategy is out the window too unfortunately.

I´m curious - how does that happen?

Both rarely get defended. (In general) people just rush forward and then start whining they have no more tanks, hence the mortar battery on Falaise Pocket. Or in the case of Cobra, no more planes.

Mmm, that's a contradiction. Can you expand a bit on this, doesn't really get into specifics in the changelog. Wich is it? Especially on Villers Boc. I noticed 'close' sounds wich belonged actually to some shelling quite a bit away from my position. Far away firefights and shelling should sound, well, like far-away rumbling. Not as if they were right next to me. I can't imagine this being the case, so I'm sure there's a misunderstanding somewhere ;)

Otherwise, great patch so far.

All for it. And reading your first quote again, I'm guessing you simply gave more guns a distant sound, wich is brilliant. For a minute there I was thinking the opposite, the 'just next to you' threw me off. You're saying even more guns sound distant now, if they are distant, as they should. Continue on that track, sirs 8)

- In other news: I miss the SL spawn on A.ville, but it gives the halftracks a very important role. I like the latter far more than the first so keep it for now. All four maps sure feel different... grittier... I like it.

- Cobra's airfield is the new Mortar Battery ;D

- The skies are filled with planes, bit too much perhaps, but one takes the cake soundwise, hell of an addition.

- The new recoils feel overdone.

- Yet to see a certain rumored teddy on the... M10 (?) LOL

- Well done on most MG/AT-guns placements and defensive lines.

- Love the little camo and uniform touches.
