YES! BEAUTIFUL SHERMANS!

I lolled at all the tank tracks strapped to the sides in the first renders, trying to make up for the fail wet-hull design. Interesting that there are so many variants though. Are there different designations for these variants? I mean the front hatches are completely different in their shape.

Also, the firefly with hedgecutters is awesome. I hearby nickname it the Firecutter.

It is my new baby.

I can't say how long I've been waiting to see regular Shermans... I missed them from FH1... And sure, the Sherman II is cooler and more interesting looking, but I loved the vanilla Shermans... And the firefly - Goodwood seems incomplete w/out the Firefly.

Still crossing my fingers for American model - Or Kasserine Pass

Are those brown Shermans in the rear designed for NA?

Also, kinda miss the guessing game when Lightning announced  the update title and made us have to guess what it was... I'm sure someone would have guess Fireflies this time..

Haha! Didn't you leak it Lightning? <rubs it in on the dreamcrusher>
Anyway, really nice guys. That Firefly makes me happy.

What is that light grey/brown coloured camo on the Sherman? Or is that just the lightning from the render?

Very nice :)  Can't wait to tangle with those Fireflies, and to see if the barrel camo will work this time ;)
It works. When I looked in the update I read Firefly and immediatly started scanning the screens but only saw short barrels! Then I just clicked on all the screens and noticed them. It works  :P

I just watched another one and I am very happy and statisfied to see the tracks used as extra armour. When I first saw it used on pictures I thought: that looks awesome, we need that in FH2. Thanks for listening to my prayers.

My guess?  Italy ;)
You think? That camo scheme? Oooooh   :)

That's my guess :P  I've never heard of brown camo in normandy, but then, I could be horribly wrong :P

Wow awsome update! 8) , just one question... will we see the M4A4 as an American tank as well? or is it strictly British? and also... the more like brownish colored Shermans in the background of each pic.... will we see those in Normandy? or are they maybe a North African version? Great update as always
That's 4 questions. :p

There might be an American M4A4 later, they used different turrets than the British ones. However, the M4A4 was mainly used by the British. The brown Shermans are also for use in Normandy. Olive Drab paint wasn't applied until May 1944. Tanks produced before that were painted in khaki brown and were not re-painted, so many of the Shermans in Normandy were still brown. The M4A4 was not, to my knowledge, used in North Africa.

so this Sherman model is the one with the noticeable sloped armor?
All Shermans have sloped armour to some degree, however you will not be able to tell the difference normally, because the German guns will cut through it in one shot anyway.

awesome, i can't imagine how many shermans will fh2 have after its done  ;D
At the moment we have:
Sherman II (early) - North Africa
Sherman II (early) - Europe
Sherman II (mid) - Europe
Sherman II (mid) - Europe - Hedgerow cutter
Sherman V (mid) - Europe - Brown
Sherman V (mid) - Europe - Green
Sherman V (late) - Europe - Brown
Sherman V (late) - Europe - Brown - Same as above, but with different baggage layout
Sherman V (late) - Europe - Green
Sherman V (late) - Europe - Green - Same as above, but with different baggage layout
Sherman VC (early) - Europe - Firefly - Brown
Sherman VC (early) - Europe - Firefly - Green
Sherman VC (late) - Europe - Firefly - Brown

M4A1 (early) - Europe
M4A1 (mid) - Europe

Thats interesting. Never knew that. Americans did paint them olive drab right on from the beginning right? Since they already used olive drab vehicles during Torch.
