General Discussion / Cooperation with Antimatter Games
« on: 13-08-2014, 08:08:45 »
Hey dudes I saw it mentioned on the Tripwire interactive forums that Antimatter Games (the team that helped make Rising Storm) cooperated with the Forgotten Hope team in some way. Was it the Stukas that can be seen in this video? Did you guys do a cheeky trade?

Stuka can be seen at :19 in this video

EDIT: Those SAS/Afrika Korps player models definitely look familiar too! Same with the Willys jeep

Gaming / Traction Wars - WW2 realistic FPS
« on: 05-12-2012, 04:12:01 »
As I'm sure many of you know, Traction Wars is an upcoming indie game on Cryengine 3 covering the commonwealth forces in Normandy. If I remember correctly, some of the FH2 team is also working on the game. Even though the name sounds like it should be a physics game, it looks promising. Their first release will not feature vehicle combat, however.

It's been in development for years now, and is IMO definitely one of the most promising next generation WW2 games :D

Gaming / Festung Europa - WW2 standalone (DH team)
« on: 07-10-2012, 02:10:25 »
The mod team who worked on Darkest Hour for Red Orchestra are making their own standalone on the UDK engine called "Festung Europa" (Fortress Europe). It follows the Commonwealth through the Normandy battles. Development is still earler, here are some WIP pictures.

Gaming / Battlegroup 3: Road to Dunkirk
« on: 27-09-2012, 02:09:11 »
The Battlegroup 42 team (or some of) are working on the next battlegroup game, made on the Unreal 3 engine and based around the British Expeditionary Force around France in 1940/41. Really hoping they pull this off, itching to see a next-gen WW2 shooter.

The project is only very early going, they released an internal pre-alpha just for testing, but said there would be some video of it soon. Hopefully when the last BG42 update comes out, then it will be full force onto BG3 :)

Suggestions / Uploading models to p3d.in
« on: 26-09-2012, 06:09:25 »
Such time and effort is put into models such as guns and such, would it be possible to perhaps see a devblog with some of the models uploaded to http://p3d.in/ so we can get a proper look at them (in game can be difficult sometimes)? I understand that it would be entirely up to the modeler, but I think it would be interesting :)

Suggestions / Brixia Model 35
« on: 28-08-2012, 23:08:42 »
I hate to add to the ever growing list of "add this weapon to the mod" threads, but I did a little search and couldn't find this little bad boy mentioned:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brixia_Model_35

Basically a light mortar, used by Italians on every front they served on, not too OP I wouldn't think as it's only a low yield 45mm shell. Would make for interesting gameplay, especially on a map like Karen, defending the hill.

I have 2.45 on bf2 steam. Can anyone help?

General / 2.45 performance issues
« on: 17-07-2012, 09:07:27 »
Is it just me, or has SP in 2.45 become more resource demanding? I used to be able to run up to 80 bots fairly smoothly, but now I struggle to run 64. Is this because of ESAI?

FH2 Help / Support / FH2.45 Torrent problem
« on: 15-07-2012, 11:07:20 »
Downloaded the official passworded fh2.45 torrent, extracted part 1 without problems but when I get towards the end of extracting part 2 it tells me the file is corrupt or that I have a wrong password (which I don't because I copied and pasted directly from the site). Can anyone help?

EDIT: I'm installing for bf2 on steam as well, using winRAR. Should I use another extraction program?

Suggestions / Airfield strafing
« on: 26-05-2012, 09:05:17 »
I've always noticed the static bombs on various airfields and tried desperately to make them explode, but of course to no avail. My suggestion is to make them (or even fuel dumps) explode with the force of the actual bomb when strafed by cannon fire from above, knocking out any planes nearby. It would certainly make the defense of airfields more interesting and strategic, and I can't think of many balance issues that would arise from it, because both axis and allied airfields would feature them, so I guess it comes down to the historical aspect. Did this thing sort of happen in WW2? Cheers
