Reinstalling FH2 on Windows 10

Hey guys, it's me, VonMudra, that guy who hasn't been active ingame in, fuck, I dunno, AGES!

Well, my HDD failed, and then my power supply failed, so I've spent the last few days getting everything back in order on my computer.  I figure now is as good a time as any to get FH2 reinstalled and maybe try getting back into the game, play that Omaha Beach map, you know, catch up on the past like 4 years of FH2 stuffs.

However, I have literally no idea where to begin.  I have BF2 installed through steam now on my new HDD and...that's it.  Help me!  I can't pay, but I will offer cookies/hugs/sexual favours.

So... if you have bf2 installed with the latest patch.. then just install fh2 launcher and go.

How do I make sure it has the latest patch?  I have only done the steam install, but haven't done any manual patching.

Well, currently I'm finding I can't even log in to my account- no password seems to be working, and I can't use forgot password because gamespy is down.  Yay.

How long ago did you play FH2? Because FH2 has their own master server after Gamespy shut down ;). So it's possible you have to create a new account on this new master server.

I haven't played in yearrrrssss, so that explains that.  I'm working on installing FH2 right now, so hopefully I can either get one of my old accounts back, or get a new one made.

Good news! My account is still working, so I got that all running.  I can't seem to dl any of the community stuff though, due to lack of seeders.

Either way, I'm going to be busy most of today/tomorrow (friends over, board games, etc), but hopefully this week I'll be able to pop in and play.  Hopefully some of the old timers do still remember me.... ;)
