I'm pretty sure I've seen an airsoft M1 and K98 that had (more) accurate loading mechanisms, don't know who made it and apparently they had problems of their own since they are not widespread, but the loading mechanisms were realistic.

Most Garands with this feature were special ones made by a fellow on the ww2aa proboards iirc. They worked alright but required about $500 worth of work. Custom molds, etc. Basically not much in the way of upgradability unless you modified the gearbox and hop unit before sending your M14 off to be converted.

Pardon my ignorance but from how it sounds dropping loading mechanics essentially makes the guns into barrels without any character. Is there any merit to attempt historical reenactments or combat roleplay without the bolt-action etc. mechanisms? Do they balance it out by smaller clip size etc.?

I have watched a couple of airsoft videos so far but my opinion that guns are too silent\similar in sound has driven me away quite a bit. What really is to look for in an airsoft event?

To be honest, to friends and I, we get the opportunity to go camp in some exotic location (former prison is our usual), drink, eat good food, and then run around having fun shooting people without the legal consequences. At the moment many guns do sound the same, but you can change that very much with rifles powered by HPA engines or gas systems. Different flash hiders produce different sounds.

More "realistic" sounds rifles would be great, however I don't see that being particularly manageable in some areas, due to idiotic youth trying to act hard, etc. Hell California just passed legislation for 2016 mandating that your rifles look like nerf guns. Fortunately pre-existing rifles only need three pieces of coloured tape on three various parts of the rifle.

Went a couple pages back but didn't see anything on it. Did no one go to see John Wick?

It was alright for a Keanu movie, some even christened it the beginning of the Keanussaince

Proper in what sense? I am not familiar enough with the Garand to pick out smaller details that may be wrong

Oooh boy, nice.

ICS I presume? I remember when there wasn't a good M1 Garand on the market and folks had to modify M14s, there were some really good project threads around then.

Damn Ted, that might be worse than the side buttoning pants Apple's ex got him.

Happy Birthday ":| Salvete!"

A couple days past now but thanks Zoo  ;D

For alcohol I tried a couple of different things, still branching out to find what is drink-able to me without tasting like bronchitis medicine. Angry Orchard is alright, kind of tastes like apple martinelli's but with more kick

Nice! You don't often see Classic Army models anymore, they have kinda dropped onto the side. I managed to secure a CA G3A3 off of craigslist awhile ago. They don't make them anymore and it is a ridiculously long rifle but it is fun. Working on slapping a P* into it now

I've done that before as a tea snob, definitely prefer Czar Nicholas II to ginger tea.

Welp, Naruto manga has ended... finally. I hate myself for seeing every series (I started to like) to the very end.

Hard to imagine one of the big three ending to be honest. First DBZ ended, then Bleach went into limbo and now Naruto has ended. I wonder what will take Naruto's spot? Boku No Hero Academia seems to have the right stuff and has started to garner quite the following. 19 chapters are out in Japan and first manga is unavailable everywhere due to such high demand.

On another note, birthday on saturday, help I've caught the old.

Somewhere at/near Donezk airport, Ukraine, October 2014.

Shame about that airport, they had just added onto it and rebuilt the exterior

just like those TWD fans think they can survive a zombie apocalypse
Well, brewing moonshine isn't that difficult :D.

I'll back that statement up. I homebrew with my father and we can produce 200 gallons pretty easy and that is regular wine and beer. I had classmates make moonshine in their lockers back in high school (year s 9-12 for you euros afaik)
