BASIC CAPTURE
---------------
1. Get hold of Fraps (
www.fraps.com) - (pm me for a Fraps serial)

3. Start up FH2 - use your Fraps hotkey to start recording (simples)
EXTENDED CAPTURE
--------------------
For some more cinematic footage, and please bear in mind you may have to record tonnes of footage to get anything remotely useful...
1. Get hold of Fraps (
www.fraps.com)
2. Start Fraps and configure 'where' fraps will save the recorded movies locally on your computer
3. Go to your C:ProgramFiles/EAGames/Battlefield2/mods/FH2/ai (folder) and copy the file "aidefaut.ai" to somewhere memorable (make sure you do this as you may need to revert back to it later)
4. Open "aidefault.ai" using notepad and change the settings to.
echo *****************************************************************************************
echo AIDefault.ai ****************************************************************************
echo *****************************************************************************************
aiSettings.setNSides 2
aiSettings.setAutoSpawnBots 1
aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 1
aiSettings.setMaxNBots 31
aiSettings.maxBotsIncludeHumans 0
aiSettings.setBotSkill 0.4
rem To spawn more than 15 bots in SP, use the following lines instead of the three lines above.
rem Note that this is totaly unsupported, it will affect your system's performance
rem and may even crash your game. That being said, you will most likely be able to run a lot
rem more bots than 15 on your system.
rem Example for 32 bot game with expert bots
rem aiSettings.overrideMenuSettings 1
rem aiSettings.setMaxNBots 32
rem aiSettings.maxBotsIncludeHumans 0
rem aiSettings.setBotSkill 1.0
run BotNames.ai
aiSettings.setInformationGridDimension 32
run AIPathFinding.ai
rem EOF
Save the file and paste it back into your C:ProgramFiles/EAGames/Battlefield2/mods/FH2/ai (folder) this will give you more bots to play single player with.
4. Start up FH2, and instead of going online, start a single player game > load your map.
5. As soon as you spawn, open the command window, now this is different for some of us, for me it's my home key, for others it's the ` key (top left of your keyboard).
6. In the command window type the following 4 commands.
sv.allowFreeCam 0
sv.allowFreeCam 1
renderer.drawhud 1
renderer.drawhud 0
The reason you do this is so that you can quickly navigate to a command, when you reopen your command window use the up (arrow key) to select from the command you typed historically and obviously saves you typing out commands over and over.
You'll now have no HUD interfering with your footage, you can wander about and record things from an FPS viewpoint.
7. Ok, lets do some freecam footage of bots acting sexy noobish. Open your command window, and using the up (arrow key) select the command "renderer.drawhud 1" from your historical command lines, so you get your HUD back. Blow yourself up with grenade or jump off a building to get into the spawn que. In the spawn select screen (default Enter key) DESELECT all spawn points. When the spawn timer runs out, press the SPACEBAR to activate freecam mode.
8. The last thing to do is to open your command window again and using the up (arrow key) select "renderer.drawhud 0" again so your HUD disappears. Now you have a free view of the .... raging, can I say that? Bot battle below. Pressing the SHIFT key will slow down the camera panning giving you steadier control.
RESULT: everything you see here is bots at work
