Maybe because atm (2.15) we have a fair amount of maps featuring AT guns and tanks after 1940, but not that much after 1942?

Well, there is code in the current mod for AP, APDS and HE shells for the 6pdr L43.  Hopefully, they will be updated so there is also a second set for the L50, otherwise the Normandy 6pdr will have underpowered shot.

That's right, in 1944, finally, added HE shells for 2-pdr and 6-pdr tank guns. First experiments with 6-pdr HE tank ammo start in late 1942, but only in 1944 mass-used.

i dont think ANY gun right now has just plain simple AP ammo they all have APC/APBC even if ingame it just says AP
