I hope late Eastern front (Lots of ruskies and MG-42's equals red snow)

But I bet my money on Italy, Sicily and then the road to Rome

I reckon it'll be late Western Front, but hope for early Western Front.

I also have a mad pipe-dream of the FH devs consulting with the FHT guys on incorporating their superb Italian campaign into the mod - it would be a great way to get more maps and a new theatre into the mod, as well as recognising the talent the FHT guys have. Obviously this depends on how comfortable each FHT map maker is with the idea, and of course whether the devs will accept the maps as 'high enough quality'... Do the devs still require all maps to be meticulously based on real maps of the area?

They never did. But I think the equipment has to be historical and the map must have a certain graphical quality.

If that's the case (dev comment, please?) then I think the FHT guys really have every chance of getting at least some of their Italian maps into the mod. If they want to, of course - I in no way represent any of the parties involved, I'm just expressing my support for the idea.

Someone somwhere said that the FHT was going to donate their Italy statics to FH when the campaign was over.  Don't quote me on that though, but if its true, an Italian theatre would arrive very quickly.

That is true, all material made by F|H T is available for the devs.

I thought about this. All votes indicate a majority in expecting the late western front. I just thought about the time after that. Rather nonsense, I know. But then you have a situation in which the german forces are complete. And you'd also have the U.S. forces and Brits in. Besides some minor battlefields, that leaves two large battlefields opposing each other that would require amost the same amount of work from scratch. Pacific and eastern Front. And "Hope" votes for Pacific and eastern front are both strong in numbers. I guess that will be an interesting discussion then.

I usually imagine my own sounds with it, like `tjunk, tupdieyupdiedee` aaa enemy spotted, ratatatataboom

I hope it's Pacific or  Early Eastern Front.

Why? because, with the edition of Late Western you can make the other fronts from the other parts. Italian can be done with the Italian Africa weapons set and the American gear from Normandy,  Late Western and Early Western can be done with a combination of some new french weaponry, Africa British weaponry, the American Gear, and the German gear [Vehicles get some newer skins]. So really for the Western front all you need is new maps and maybe some French gear. All in all those fronts would be faster to churn out.

With pacific you have to make sure Big boats work, I know you can have static boats, I don't know if you can get them to move as well as churn out a new army.

With Eastern front you have to make a new army. So both Pacific and Eastern front would be produced slower.

FH 0.7 had Polish maps, but the early Op Barbarossa hasn't been done properly. I'd really like to see a Battle of Kiev map!

Better to go on the evolution way. I mean Normandy => combats in Holland, fall 1944 => Ardennes => combats in Germany, winter-spring 1945.

Early Eastern Front - it's too big battlefield. Totally different statics, tons of weapons, tanks etc.

A valid point, but I'd much rather wait for variety than have a series of almost similar quick releases.  I don't mean similar map wise, more equipment/tactics wise.  Of course, I would have no quarrel with the devs if they went down the latter path though.
