This has gotten out of hand! Stop this experiment!

People are neglecting their social lives, I'm ignoring the sunlight and skipping sex. Everybody is living on noodles and stuff. IT'S TOO BRILLIANT!

OT: Love Al Bundy meming  ;)

Interesting... Guess Soviet reinforcements only spawn when the last Polish flag has fallen?

Siege of Tobruk and such maps however are nicely suited for human wave attacks  ;)

Thanks Slayer! Worked it out. The pic below of Port-en-Bessin (or was it Ouistreham?  ;) ) should be good to go.

I just got back from the 10 day trip to Normandy and Bretagne. I spent a few days in Normandy, visiting the familiar sites and liberating Cidre and Calvados  ;D

The thing that stuck with me the most is the scale of the region, for some backwards reason I always thought that I could go from St. Mere Eglise to Pegasus bridge in half an hour by car. Turned out that the invasion zone is quite stretched, making the allied effort all the more impressive. I had some good weather, so didn't visit that much indoor museums and such.

Also, I was impressed of course with the details that you recognize from FH maps.. The PdH bunker was almost 1 on 1 accurate!

Now I must find out how to get some pics up in this topic, since my photos are all around 4 mb.

I'll post some good pictures here. of course  :)

I'm going with my girlfriend, poor girl thinks bunker and invasion-beach seeing will only take one afternoon, muhaha! But if anybody has some nice restaurants or something to recommend, your welcome as well..

The to-see list as so far:
- Omaha beach
- Arromanche museum (360 and stuff)
- St. Mere Eglise
- Quistreham (because of the longest day scene)
- St. Mere Eglise
- Purple Heart Lane (bound to recognize some landsmarks)
- Le Grand Bunker
- Pointe du Hoc
