I have auto-updated to FH2.8, but when I try to run this torrent to help seeding:

It can't identify my already updated FH2.8 in my BF2 folder, and tries to re-download it. Any solutions so I can seed right away?

what is your download path? isn't it "...\Battlefield 2\mods\fh2\  by mistake?

The torrent contains the fh2.exe and /mods/fh2/ folder, so make sure to download the contents directly to your BF2 folder.
(eg: C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\ )

No, my download path is perfectly fine, it is the default BF2 folder (<my path>\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2)

But when I point my torrent engine to that path, they'll download again.

I noticed that a lot of torrent clients tend to make a folder with the torrent name inside the folder you point it to. This would mean it actually tries to download to (<my path>\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\2.8.835) in your case. You could search the options on how to turn that off, or try another torrent client.

I have successfully fix the problem in µTorrent.

When you open the torrent tracker, they will ask you "Save In" which you should give your path. Then they also ask "Name" which should be the folder name. So what you should do is to put <my path>\EA GAMES\ in the "Save In" box. Then put "Battlefield 2" in the "Name" box. It will check all the available files, and voila, you will be seeding very soon.
