That's because Caffeine is mildly addictive, but weed isn't.

Physical addiction is not the same as (but isn't mutually exclusive with) mental addiction.

Sure, weed is not adictive but 95% of the joints here are at least 60% tobacco. so yes, you can get adicted pretty badly to those.

Lets put it in a different prespective, try to get your drinking buddy that is always drunk to stop completely with drinking, even if its the best thing is his life acording to him. Just try, its nearly impossible.

You need to see if you can fix the reason for her smoking problem, if you cant, and if she is not willing to be helped (witch is extrememly important) then no matter what you do Theta it will always be doomed to fail.

But theta, i barely see you friend, i need hugs too  :'(

So A(my friend) has been chasing after this one girl for a long time now. Who frankly, uses her to get weed quickly, cheaply (sometimes freely). They kissed but nothing serious came from the other girl. Then that other Girl suddently got herself a girlfriend. Wich was a major setback for A. Meanwhile she tried twice with another girl, wich all failed because A couldnt find it them. Yeah she is quite picky

All this builded up into stress, people being annoying to her, backstabbing people. untill she suddently had enough. Then that one girl she always fancied, became single again. And despite seeing that one girl, she went downhill and downhill and back to weed and bam.. To the point she is now.
This all mixed with one gigantic pile of backtalking, gossiping, you name it

Appearntly my way of handeling things in life does not comply with them. When somebody backtalks behind me, i confront him/her.

but they on the other hand. Somebody backtalks? FREAK OUT
And then when you meet them, go all friendly.

Wich is appearntly the way all womens deal with eachother wich i failed to realise for the past few months

Sorry, but what age are we talking about? Sounds like 16.

Ive had my periods of smokinga lot of weed daily, never had any problem getting of it at once. I'm talking about 3-4 years straight.
I used to smoke weed out of boredom, just to fill some sort of emptiness or discontent. Stopped doing it when that was fixed..

Does she want to stop smoking weed? If she doesnt, why would you tell she should?

Well, there is a physical aspect about cannabis. Consumption of cannabis causes the body temperature to drop about 0.5°C average. If you have consumed cannabis constantly and stop abruptly you will feel like having a light fever for a couple of days. This comes along with light sweating on multiple occasions, because the body got used to the lowered temperature and has to adopt to the new temperature then.

In general, I separate drugging people into 2 types:
  • Type A takes drugs and will eventually end up with mental problems.
  • Type B got mental problems and is thus taking drugs.

Type A often ends up taking drugs because of outer influences: unemployment, boredom, loss of loved ones, 'bad friends' etc. Once the crisis causing influences vanish, type A might be able to stop drugging and is able to continue a normal life if the drugs have not caused mental distortions.

Type B has mental problems and thus does not feel one with society, or is having a hard time to integrate itself into society. Type B usually develops an affinity to drugs, given the feeling of being able to stabilze its mind in a situation which would be otherwise dragging the mind down. If you take away one drug from type B, it will find others to abuse.

If that girl is type B, your claim for drug abstinence will only drive her away. Instead of sharing things, she'll have secrets then. If you are not type B, type B isn't for you either.

I guess one of the few possible constellations where a type B can stop drugging would be a strong master-slave relationship in which type B focusses on the partner as a substitute for the drug. I'm not sure whether that is an option for you.

Would alcohol consumers only have those 2 categories as well?  :P

Well said.  I think you might be generalizing a bit here, Dukat.

Yes, it is very generalized.

I consider alcohol as a drug like others. Alcohol consumption is usually done for fun but if overdone it might lead to mental problems (A). Meanwhile many people with mental problems would quickly fall for alcohol and actually do, especially as it can be supplied most easily (B).

..Okay i think i'm addicted to coca cola

I am unable to go the store atm so i rely on good ol' mom for supplies.

This monday morning, i realised my cola supplies were dried up, aswel as any other softdrink

Today, i had withdrawel affects for sure.... i had the undesire need to cola, and drinking water did not solved anything. Just now i was able to grasp a bottle and i poured and drank a 330 ml content in one gulp.

I do not drink that much coke. About 500 ML a day. I have been able to cut back drastically and even drink water (carbonated that is).
But if i dont get coke in 2 days, i frikking go CRAZY

But is it the Coke taste/sugar or is the caffeine that is driving me nuts here?

White sugar is pure evil stuff.

Ever since I moved out last summer, I've cut almost all of my sugar eating and drinking. Then roughly a month a go, I did drink few litres of coke in a night. I don't remember when I've felt so shit last time, like worst kind of hangover, without alcohol.

Though prolly it's the both. If you've drinked more coke before then the caffeine might have got hold of you.
