It seems they are specifically targeted towards recent Call of Duty series.
I know they (CoD MW series) sell pretty well, but something that sells well doesn't always fare well with general audience. Titanic by James Cameron (1998) for example, it is one of the most critically acclaimed movies and sells like crazy, but I hate that god awful movie. Another thing is Transformers by Michael Bay (2007), although I am in contempt with him, but the movie was quite okay, dunno why all the fuss about it. Also Justin Beiber's popularity.
It seems that we are giving the wrong people too much buying power (e.g. little brats with poor taste). I only received USD 1 per day back then, so I'm literary powerless to ruin the market taste. But today's brats have iPhone and nearly bottomless pocket to purchase all the junk thrown to the market based on impulsive decision-making.
